The 10-Day Green Smoothie Cleanse was written by JJ Smith and released to the public in July 2014. It is said to jumpstart your weight loss journey, increase your energy levels, and improve your health as a whole.* Those are bold claims for just 10 days, but the premise behind the cleanse has yet to be looked into. If you purchase this book, you will get recipes, shopping lists, and advice on how to lose weight after you are done with the 10-day cleanse. The claims the book makes in regards to weight loss are rather unrealistic and astounding, seeing as how much of this weight may just be water weight. In just 10 days time, you will not rid yourself of your entire belly fat, and definitely not get workouts in while losing inches.
There is no support line when going through this diet program, as it is mainly a book of personal stories and testimonials with some recipes thrown in.
Do Dieters Lose Weight On The 10-Day Green Smoothie Cleanse?
Dieters gave this overall diet a good rating, as they lost temporary weight by the end of the cleanse. As you already know, everyone’s bodies are different and will react much differently to the cleanse itself based on many outside factors. The tastes of the green smoothies were a different topic altogether – some tasted terrible while others were just mediocre. If you are going to be drinking these smoothies every day for 10 days, they better taste good to you, or you will revert back to old bad habits the minute the 10 days are up, or even before the time is up. They noted that the cleanse was very expensive however, so take a look below.
“The recipes are nothing new. Lots of repetition. Advertising that one can lose up to 15 pounds in 10 days, makes this a book for dieters, not people that want to stay healthy. Would not recommend this book.” Y. Chambers*
Healthy777* said, “I started the cleanse 3 days ago and have already lost about 3 pounds. I still feel the withdrawal symptoms though, so I hope they go away soon. I like that she wrote it in relatable terms and in a straightforward way. The only problem is that almost half of the book is about her personal experience, which is not bad, and testimonials. For the price I don't think this is acceptable.” She would still recommend it to people to try out for weight loss though, but don't expect ground breaking information. Most of the information in the book is readily found online, but that is if you have the time to do the research. It is more of a jump start to weight loss if anything as it is strictly a liquid diet for 10 days time. She recommends to try it out, and just return it if you don't like it.
“I got very little if anything from this book. Followed directions to letter even went out and purchased $130.00 in organic produce. I did lose 4 pounds but I could have done that without the book. There is also a chapter in the book devoted to praising the author, which I found to be totally worthless. Save your money and do a green smoothie search on goggle.” Walter*
Is The 10-Day Green Smoothie Cleanse Easy To Follow?
It has been reported that the first couple of days are extremely hard, as your body is trying to adjust to these foreign smoothies as its new normal. In the book, it also states that you will get an unlimited amount of support, but it is actually very minimal with their Facebook support page being difficult to become a member of. The purchase cost of the book runs around $10.00, which is very affordable, but the cost of the ingredients for the smoothies will cost you an arm and a leg. In five days, one customer reported to spend $100+ dollars just on ingredients for her smoothies. This is outrageous! Due to the fact that coffee, sugar, processed foods, and an even longer laundry list of foods are not allowed, be prepared for some serious withdrawals.
This book has been said to be hard to read by a large portion of its customers, and almost a waste of money since most of the book is pure testimonials. There are plenty of options on the Internet today for green smoothie recipes without going through the hullabaloo of reading an entire book in the process. It has been said to help people lose weight, but the aftereffect is more important than the cleanse itself. When you are going through the cleanse, you can do a modified version or go all in. With the modified version, you are allowed two healthy snacks and one small meal, or else you are stuck with just pureed veggies and fruit for 10 solid days. The cleanse does offer social media sites for support, but as stated earlier, they are hard to join for some reason. The activity levels are in turn very low, which goes hand in hand with the difficulty of joining. While the book itself is rather expensive and wordy to some, there has been short-term success on it. There is nothing wrong with wanting a little cleanse now and again, but is this the best one we’ve seen to date? Definitely not.
