Maggie Q Diet Review

Maggie Q Diet Activated You Review

Let’s face it Maggie Q is a beautiful, successful, well spoken and seemingly has it all, woman. We all want to be her (or close to what she embodies as a woman), right? Question is if because we admire her for what she has achieved with her looks we should also trust that she, as a self educated and proclaimed health expert, can be trusted as a dietary supplement developer.

Word on the Street about Maggie G ACTIVATED YOU

On the website, the Advanced Restorative Probiotic gets a 4.8 out of 5 stars from 299 reviews. The Morning Complete also does exceptionally well with an impressive 4.9 out of 5 stars from 270 reviews.

But can these amazing results be real? Well, Morning Complete has received an impressive 96% or 4.6 out of 5 stars from 634 reviews in HighYa’s consumer reviews. Similarly, the advanced restorative product scored 95% and 4.5 out of 5 stars from 371 reviews. In fact, 92% scored the probiotic either a 4 or 5 stars.

In terms, of the reviews, many of them are incredibly positive with taglines such as “Life Changing”. It seems that a lot of people with digestive problems try this product and report excellent improvements. They document improvements in bloating, gas, nausea, stomach pain, lack of energy, constipation, and general GI discomfort. Little do we know if these same people have ever tried a different product of priobotic supplements or if this is the first time they have been introduced to the powerful effects of their use.

Reviewers also commented they enjoyed the follow-up emails asking for feedback and how they were doing.

“Unstoppably” Mean. When you purchase a Maggie Q product you are helping the Unstoppable Foundation. So, they say. The Maggie Q has a full page donated to the amazing work of the Unstoppable Foundation.

However, as with most products you buy that donate to charity, they don’t tell you how much of your $80 per product they are going to donate.

Unstoppable like many charities have an excellent breakdown of how much it costs for their work to be carried out. Therefore, Maggie Q could quite easily have taken on some amazing but bigger projects such as sponsoring a village for $25,000 per year.

In fact, if they had taken on a project I think they’d gladly tell you about it. So I doubted any meaningful donation would be made on your behalf when you purchase Activated You products.

I wrote to  Activated You to ask them to quantify their donations. They refused to answer and rudely cancelled the thread. So, from that I am going to conclude they give little to nothing.

I suggest if you would like to make a donation to this amazing charity you do so directly.

In terms of low behavior, it doesn’t get much worse than lying about charitable donations. Let’s call it what it is. Humanitarian Maggie Q is hoping to profit from selling you a product on the basis she’ll donate to help starving children. Except she won’t. Maggie will be keeping it all herself. If you’d like to line Maggie Q’s humanitarian pockets, be my guest.

Is it worth a try?

It depends.  Are you suffering from GI problems? Then, Yes, you should try using probiotics.

Regardless of the limited explanations as to how the formulas work the reviews are very impressive and can’t be ignored. The reviews seem to be from people that have bought the product because they have a GI problem. And both products have been exceptionally helpful in relieving symptoms.

One thing to be noted is that the products are very much aimed at everyone. When in reality this is a more of a product suitable for people with a GI issue.

At $79, Morning Complete is way more expensive than other green drinks. Typically you can get green drink powder from around $20 for an eight-ounce 30-day bag. At $79, Morning Complete is even more than Elle Macpherson Super Greens Elixir.

However, it does provide an impressive 4 g of fiber or 16% RDA for just 15 calories. It also has a metabolic blend that may be helpful as part of a weight loss or management program.

Similarly, at $69.99 the Advanced Restorative Probiotic is more expensive than any other Probiotic blend I could find on Amazon.

My advice is if you are looking for a wellness drink or probiotic you can find much cheaper. But, if you are suffering from a GI issue then these products could be the answer. And a couple of dollars a day on one of these supplements could be money very well spent indeed.

But if you are like me and lying about charitable donations turns your stomach, then it would have to be a last resort to send money to this company.

The Science (or lack thereof) behind Maggie Q Activated You

There are some explanations of how the eight blends in the Morning Complete work.

But there aren’t so many explanations of how the advanced probiotic works. It is just a given that this is an excellent potent probiotic with 30 strains.

Often with a product like this, a doctor is part of the marketing effort. So introducing Dr. Edison de Mello. He seems lovely but is he the most qualified for the position of formulating medications for gut health?

Dr. Mello is a fully qualified doctor, in fact, he is also a psychotherapist. Maybe a further qualification in gastroenterology or nutrition might have better qualified him for such a role?

There is no description of how the formulas came to be. The assumption (and what we are led to believe) being that psychotherapist Dr. Mello and actress Maggie Q came up with the formulas by pooling their combined knowledge.

ActivatedYou™ is more than a high-quality line of wellness products they say.

it is an approach to overall wellness. ActivatedYou™ helps restore the body to its natural state of vibrant health, thanks to powerful formulas designed with your vitality in mind.

The products are plant-based, from the finest plant-based compounds and are 100% vegan-friendly. They are also scientifically proven. They double-test their formula and bring you “innovative formulas backed by meticulous research and scientific evidence.

Each product is also environmentally sustainable as they’re committed to only using responsibly sourced ingredients.

Maggie Q & Activated You

Maggie Q is the Activated You Co-Founder. Apparently, she is a self-schooled nutritionist/dietician due to her own health struggles. She somehow used that expertise to partner with Dr. Mello to bring you this range of products.

There are eight wellness products altogether but of the eight, two stand out as the top selling products. These are the Advanced Restorative Probiotic and Morning Complete. We’ll take a look at these in some more detail to see what they’re all about.

Morning Complete Claims

Morning Complete doesn’t really make any claims. It says it is a “first-of-its-kind formula designed to fortify your body with the nutrients it needs for optimal health.”

And that Morning Complete can boost your body’s performance and your sense of wellness. “It’s ideal for anyone who wants to start their day on a positive, healthy note.”

Even though the formula doesn’t suggest it cures anything there is an FAQ which asks “What if it doesn’t work for me?” It seems to be generally accepted this is a product people are using to help with digestive problems such as bloating, gas, and constipation.

Morning Complete Ingredients

Morning Complete has 35 ingredients to cover eight blends.

They are:

  • Prebiotic and High Fiber Blend
  • Green Superfood Blend
  • Metabolic Enhancing Blend
  • Antioxidant Blend
  • Sugar Balancing Support
  • Adaptogens
  • Cellular Function And Liver Support
  • Probiotic Blend

There are details as to what each blend does and ingredients include cinnamon bark and pomegranate fruit extract.

Advanced Restorative Probiotic Claims

Advanced Restorative probiotic claims to be “one of the most potent probiotic formulas on the market today.”

It is also claimed that by using this product you could have smoother digestion, reduced gas and bloating. And experience improved mood and energy levels. Not just that your skin will be more radiant.

Advanced Restorative Probiotic Ingredients

The formula contains 18 Lactobacillus bacteria strains, 9 Bifidobacterium strains and one each of the Propionibacterium and Streptococcus strains.

How much does it cost?

It’s $69.99 for the advanced restorative biotic. And $79 for a bag of Morning Complete. That’s for a 30-day supply.

Money back Guarantee

The Activated You products are all covered by a 90-day money back guarantee that actually sounds as though they mean it. It’s also good to see in writing that they are happy to issue a refund even though the product contents may have been used. Not many products of this type do say that they give a hassle-free, no-questions-asked refund. You will have to pay the shipping though.

They also have a customer services desk that is manned from 5:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m Monday-Friday PST and from 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. PST on Saturday-Sunday.

You can also email them. I emailed them and it depends on your question as to when they will answer you. I asked a basic question and it took two working days.

If you like browsing then Activated You has a well-written blog full of recipes, food and health entries.

skinny gal tehrmogenic diet review

Skinny Gal Thermogenic is a diet pill made by the company Rockstar. It is formulated only for women, and it is said to be a powerful fat burner that contains natural ingredients like raspberry ketones. I will dive more into the ingredient list below, but first I want to take a look at the price of the diet pills. For one bottle it will cost $29.95 and it will contain a two month supply. The company is based out of Pinedale, WY and they offer a variety of different products in the weight loss and health industry. Most of the products are directly marketed for women only.

The instructions are actually really confusing on the bottle. The company says, “Take one capsule every day and before a meal.” So, does that mean take 1 capsule, and then 3 more with each meal? It is hard to say. To be safe I would just take one capsule and see how it worked. Other than that taking the product is pretty easy to understand, because it is a simple diet pill with no more instructions.

There is no talk of eating a healthy diet or exercising which is sad to see, because we all know these two things play a vital role in weight loss success or failure. The product itself contains raspberry ketones, garcinia cambogia, and African Mango all of which are said to help with weight loss to some degree. This diet pill is supposed to rev up the metabolism as it is a thermogenic and it is supposed to increase body temp for fat burn.

The Bottom Line: This product is standard. There are confusing instructions on how many actual capsules you should take but overall it is a simple pill to use.

It markets the formula to have extreme potency, which can be a cause for concern up front. With anything extreme there are going to be changes that will take place whether they are good or bad. For some people they may have a negative reaction to the ingredients found in the product. One thing I like about the company is the transparency they give on the ingredient list:

Garcinia cambogia, African mango, Safflower oil, White kidney bean, Caffeine, Raspberry ketones, Green coffee bean, Hoodia, 5-HTP, Turmeric, Guarana, Rhodiola, Cayenne Pepper, Apple Cider Vinegar.

There are going to be side effects with Garcinia cambogia as well as the amount of caffeine present in this diet pill. Some people experience headaches, nausea, and stomach issues when diving into a product like Skinny Gal Thermogenic. While others simply do not notice a thing, which is also a negative.

The Bottom Line: The company provides a full ingredient list which is nice to see. The ingredients found in this diet pill may come with side effects so run it by your doctor if you are concerned about any of them.

This is a basic run of the mill diet pill, and it may or may not give you any results. I am a firm believer in looking into the ingredient list before I look at anything else to make sure what is inside of the product is reputable. The ingredients are basic, and they are just like so many other diet pills on the market today. This product will come with side effects unless you are completely immune to the strong ingredients found on the list. This is a con. A pro is the price tag, as you can tell for one bottle it is only $29.99 which rates rather inexpensive in comparison to other similar products out there.

Another pro is the company and their transparency with the ingredient list as well as the products being made in the USA. These are important stamps to get approval with, so well done to the Rockstar company in this regard.

The Bottom Line: Overall, not a terrible product but the pros and the cons are about the same.

The Skinny Gal Thermogenic diet pill is not terrible, but it is pretty standard as far as diet pills are concerned. You will take 1 (or 4) a day and see if your body reacts positively to it or not. It is more a waiting game than anything, because there is little to no talk about actually making positive lifestyle changes such as working out and eating the right way. Overall, if you are looking for a little boost in energy as well as an appetite suppressor this may work in a short term time frame.

Atrafen PRO 3 Review

atrafen pro 3 review

Atrafen Pro-3 is a diet pill that is said to help a person lose unwanted weight. The most stand out ingredient found in this diet pill is caffeine, and senna. The company that makes this diet pill is called Nutratech, and it is sold online on The company claims it is stimulant free, and will not cause jitters or headaches of any kind. They also say that you will not have to buy other products such as a probiotic, a fat burner, and a cleanse because this product has you completely covered. They offer a 30 day money back guarantee, as well as products made right here in the USA.

This is a simple diet pill, and nothing more. Its formula is said to work triple so that the body can cleanse, heal gut health, as well as drop weight. How? The ingredients I will speak about below will bring light into this topic. The company says to take 2 capsules in the morning on an empty stomach, and this can be with water. The other capsule is optional, and it can be taken in the afternoon for extra weight loss benefits.

The Bottom Line: The instructions for taking this weight loss pill are rather simple. There is nothing major about the instructions. Two capsules in the morning on an empty stomach, and another capsule in the afternoon.

This product contains a lot of caffeine, and there are going to be side effects involved. While it seems safe on the outside, there are a few ingredients to be aware of.

The Ingredients

  • Raspberry Ketones
  • African Mango Extract
  • Cayenne Pepper
  • Citrus Pectin
  • Fennel Seed Extract
  • Acidolphilus
  • Flaxseed Oil
  • Ginger
  • Goldenseal
  • Cascara Sagrada
  • Pumpkin Seed
  • Buckthorne Root
  • Licorice Root
  • Rhubarb
  • Cape Aloe
  • Bentonite Clay
  • Aloe Vera
  • Senna
  • Oat Bran
  • Prune Juice

A few ingredients to be aware of are the Senna (this is a laxative) and may cause immediate abdominal discomfort. Another ingredient is the African Mango and the Raspberry ketones, while seeming natural they will come with some minor side effects like headache, dry mouth, flatulence, sleep disturbance, and flu-like symptoms. Anytime you are getting rush of caffeine to the system like that, there is going to be some side effects.

The Bottom Line: This product is loaded with caffeine as well as laxatives. While the three in one option seems enticing, it may come with some intense side effects.

For one bottle of the ATRAFEN PRO-3 it will cost around $39.99, but the bottle only has 30 capsules in it. This will hardly get you two weeks if you are taking their recommended amount. I would say this is expensive and a major con up front. A pro is the 3 in 1 capability because it can be seen as a money saver even though it comes with side effects. The ingredients are hit and miss as well for weight loss. Some of the ingredients are clean while others will cause reactions. Another con is the fact that this product is rather hit and miss with its reviews, as some people saw little to no progress and more side effects than anything.

I waited to write a review until I finished the entire bottle. I weighed myself when I started, and weighed myself today after finishing the bottle. Not one pound difference. I stayed the same. I have a very active lifestyle, and work two jobs that are both physically demanding. I still ate healthy. These pills did nothing.Honestyisbest:)

The Bottom Line: This product is a real gamble. I would not call it 100% effective, and those who have tried it got their set of side effects.

This product is very hit and miss. I would say the creators tried their best to make a versatile product in one capsule. This could have been a marketing ploy, or it could have been a way to make it seem like it is more potent? Either way, the bottle only comes with a 14-day supply, if that and it is almost $40.00 which is a pretty penny to spend on something that may or may not work. Senna is present as well, and this is known as a laxative so if you are not wanting the effects from a laxative it is best to stay away.

Phen Rx Review

Phen Rx is a fat burning supplement that are marketed to increase your energy levels and burn fast all at the same time. Nexgen Biolabs is the company that manufactures it, and this product is similar to the diet pill Phentermine. It has the same story as many diet pills on the market today with side effects and warnings issued to certain people taking medications. Let’s take a look into how this product works, and if it is worth the investment of $39.99 for one bottle of 60 capsules. Or if you are looking into the patches, they will cost $19.99 for 30 patches.

The Final Verdict

This is just another run of the mill diet pill with ingredients like bitter orange for hunger reduction and caffeine for energy. Nothing is dangerous about Phen Rx to the naked eye, but be aware of hidden side effects and always check with a doctor before taking it.

How Does Phen Rx Work?

This is a simple product with just one rule, to take it daily. There are no other instructions when taking Phen Rx. There are two different types of Phen Rx to take, either orally or by patch.  Essentially the formula is meant to deactivate the alpha-2 receptors which helps the body store needed fat for “survival” purposes even if there is too much of it. While the receptors are being deactivated the pill is also supposed to rev up the body’s metabolism to burn more calories.  The last thing this diet pill is trying to achieve is the reduction of hunger and cravings which will also reduce the number of calories taken in.

In short, I will provide a list of ingredients below.

The pill is supposed to be taken 30 minutes before breakfast, and then the second tablet for the day is advised to be taken 30 minutes before dinner. Two pills per day until the first bottle is completely gone.

The Bottom Line: This product has many “claims” such as increasing your metabolism, and reducing hunger cravings for the user. It is advised to take two pills per day for 30 days as a start.

Is Phen Rx Safe?

This diet pill is going to come with side effects, because the ingredient list is so large, and they are all synthetic man-made ingredients. The patch however is a little different, so I am looking directly into the pills when making claims whether it is safe or not.

Patch Ingredients: Angelica Root, Safflower, Prunus Persica Extract, Raphansus Sativus Extract, Lotus Leaf, Cassia Seed Extract, Wolfporia Cocos, Aloe Vera.

Pill Ingredients: Synephrine HCL, 1,3,7 Trimethylxanthine, Schizandrol, Beta Phenylethylamine, Yohimbine. Essentially, these are just big words for caffeine, and bitter orange which are stimulants for energy as well as reduction for hunger.

The only real side effects noted with this supplement are jitters and potential headaches and nausea. These are rather minor and could be more intense for you depending on your situation. Always check with a doctor before you take any diet pill like Phen Rx, especially if you are on other medication as it could potentially interfere.

The Bottom Line: This is just another run of the mill diet pill with ingredients like bitter orange for hunger reduction and caffeine for energy. Nothing is dangerous about Phen Rx to the naked eye, but be aware of hidden side effects and always check with a doctor before taking it.

Pros and Cons of Phen Rx

The only pros in my opinion are the places Phen Rx is sold (online at Amazon, and Walmart, GNC, etc.). These are all reputable places, that should not be a cause for concern. Another pro is the cost, because it will not break the bank with its cost. Cons are much more than pros simply because of the side effects and the short term results it could pose. This is just a diet pill, and there is no education about healthy eating or exercise that it given the customer therefore you will have short term results as long as you are taking the pill.

With that being said, you may not even see the results you are hoping for with Phen Rx because it has not been said to work miracles (what diet pill really does?). It may cause short term burst of energy and some reduction of cravings but it will most likely just be short lived. There are also risks of addiction when taking Phen Rx so if you are prone to certain addictions, walk cautiously around Phen Rx.

The Bottom Line: This diet pill is just a pill with a few stimulants and nothing more. There are more cons than pros when purchasing it.

People Who Viewed Phen Rx Review Also Viewed Trim Down Club.

The Phen Rx diet pill is not impressive, and it is a bit overpriced for what you are really getting. The side effects are minor which is a great thing, but they are still present. In short, this pill is an investment you will want to proceed with caution when thinking about purchasing. Always consult a doctor before taking any new diet pills, especially Phen Rx. Overall, be mindful of the ingredients, addictions, and potential side effects before purchasing this specific diet pill to ensure you are going at it with all of the information in hand.

Weight Watchers Points Plus Review

Weight Watchers Calculator Review

The Weight Watchers Points Plus calculator is a physical device that helps someone easily calculate their points. These points are based on the foods they are eating. It goes hand in hand with the new and improved Weight Watchers Points Plus system. Although the calculator does not come with the cost of the program itself. It is entirely sold separate from the program. A brand new one costs around $35. It has the ability to track both daily and weekly points plus values for easier tracking.

The Final Verdict

Although not your free online calculator application. The calculator is user friendly. It is easy, affordable, and tracks well, but it is also redundant if you have the Points Plus program in your smartphone.

How Does The Weight Watchers Points Plus Calculator Work?

This small device looks like an old school cell phone, with an oval screen for easy reading. It fits in your hand, so it is small enough to take with you on the go. They market the calculator for two things:

  1. To avoid long Weight Watchers meetings
  2. To avoid expensive sign up fees for the actual program

While you are not getting the “perks” of the actual program itself, you are getting a tool that gives you a general idea of how to track your food intake minus all of the support. The support and guidance is a large part of why people sign up for the Points Plus program, and this little device does not come with any.

To get started, you will first need to activate the calculator by pulling the back white tab. Then turn on the power button. You will  type in your general information such as: weight, height, gender, and age so it is customized only to you. Next you will need to tell the calculator if you want to lose or maintain weight, so it knows how to guide you.

The device will also need information on the products such as: protein, carbs, dietary fiber, and total value for the food in order to get an accurate read on how many points total to add on. Make sure you have the back of the food label in hand for any item you want to calculate. It is as simple as that, and it will be helpful to have the point guide for the Weight Watcher’s food on hand too as it comes with the Points Plus program (not required).

The Bottom Line: The calculator is user friendly. You will need to turn it on, add in your personal information to the calculator, and start adding in nutritional values of the foods you are eating. Refer to any Points Plus guides for any additional help with foods and their values.

Is The Weight Watchers Points Plus Calculator Safe?

Yes, this device is completely safe for those who have the time to digitally enter all of their information. It does not cost a lot of money, so the investment is really minimal, and it could even replace the entire Points Plus program if you didn’t have the budget to invest in the entire program.

There is nothing dangerous about buying it or using it.

The Bottom Line: It is safe on the pocket book, and there is nothing inherently dangerous about using this calculator daily.

Pros and Cons of Weight Watchers Points Plus Calculator

As with anything you buy there are going to be pros and cons to take into consideration. Let’s start with the pros. First, this product is affordable for those looking to point track because it costs $35 brand new, and even cheaper if you buy a used one. They are sold on Amazon, and online to those interested in purchasing. Another pro is the fact that you can literally bypass purchasing the Points Plus program if you want, because of its tracking features. You won’t be getting the same experience from just the calculator, but it gives you the general idea less the support.

There are some cons however in purchasing a small device like this, and they are just about as equal as the pros. You may lose this little calculator or forget to add in all of your food which will make it a waste of money. Also, you have to make sure you know all of the food’s nutritional information in order for it to work. This may be hard to do when you are eating out, if the restaurant does not provide nutritional information for each dish. Filling out the Points Plus values on the website with smartphones in today’s technology age may completely neutralize the need for the calculator if you buy the program.

The Bottom Line: There are an equal number of pros and cons depending on your situation. It is easy, affordable, and tracks well, but it is also redundant if you have the Points Plus program in your smartphone.

People Who Viewed Weight Watchers Points Plus Calculator Review Also Viewed Trim Down Club.

This device is clever, and it will be worth it for some people but definitely not all. If you have already bought the program you will have access to track your point values right on your phone which makes the calculator redundant. However, if you want the perks of the program without being on the program, this might be the right purchase for you! All in all there is nothing dangerous about it, and the cost is rather effective even if you are on the fence!

Atrafen Review

Atrafen is a diet pill manufactured by the company Nutratech. This supplement is said to be a thermogenic weight loss pill, and it is supposed to suppress down your appetite to boost fat loss. Of course, the company promotes quick weight loss within 30 days which does not surprise me at all. Nutratach was founded back in 2006 so it has been around relatively long in the diet pill world, and they have released other weight aid supplements like Ostaflex and Garcinia Plus.

The Final Verdict

Although the ingredients are not necessarily harmful, this supplement is not very practical. If you take certain medications clear it with your doctor first because grapefruit powder has been said to neutralize certain medications effectiveness.

How Does Atrafen Work?

This diet pill is easy to take because it requires little to no work on the consumers end. In one bottle there are 60 capsules which will cost $39.97 plus shipping. The bottle is meant to last for 30 days, but there are no instructions on the website regarding how to properly take Atrafen. I am assuming you take 2 pills per day with food and water. On the website, the company says that men can lose up to 14 pounds in one month and women can lose anywhere from 11-13 pounds.

Because it is a thermogenic weight loss pill, there are a variety of ingredients that are caffeine based as you can see below.

Ingredients: Raspberry Ketone, African Mango Extract, Irvingia Gabonensis, Acai Fruit, Green Tea Extract, Resveratrol, Caffeine Anhydrous, Apple Cider Vinegar Powder, Kelp, and Grapefruit Powder.

The Bottom Line: This fat burning pill is meant to be taken twice daily for 30 days. There are a variety of ingredients that are caffeine based for the thermogenic effect.

Is Atrafen Safe?

The ingredient list is rather clean with this diet pill, and it surprised me to say the least. The name of this diet supplement does not appear to have natural ingredients inside, so it threw me for a loop. Once looking into each ingredient it is clear this product is loaded with a few different styles of caffeine, as well as body cleansers such as apple cider vinegar.

African Mango has been said to help with appetite control thus resulting in some fat loss. It has the power to speed up the metabolism and block the build up of unwanted fat in problem areas.

The raspberry ketones found in this supplement are likely not natural, but rather artificially manufactured. It has been said to help the body burn fat and elevate natural ketone blood levels, but it takes a lot of this natural substance for it to actually work its magic. In a nutshell, there are no harmful ingredients but you will want to watch out for the grapefruit powder if you are taking certain medication, because it can interfere with certain medications. General side effects noted after taking this supplement are: Headaches, upset stomach, and nausea.

The Bottom Line: This is not a dangerous product, but if you take certain medications clear it with your doctor first because grapefruit powder has been said to neutralize certain medications effectiveness.

Pros and Cons of Atrafen

This is a pretty even race with pros and cons regarding the diet pill Atrafen. It is not the most expensive diet pill on the market, which is a nice pro. Also, the side effects are very mild in comparison to others out there today. The price point is also very average so the customer shouldn’t feel too ripped off if they do not see results right away. A con comes down to their 30 day unused and unopened policy.

Once you buy this product, there is no getting your money back so you will be taking a risk.

This tells me the company really does not stand by the effectiveness of the diet pill. The company also has spotty customer service, which is no real surprise. So when you purchase the product from the main website, you are on your own if you have any questions or problems. Weight loss has not been that great from those users who have actually taken a risk with it. A last con is simply the fact that no one sells Atrafen except the company’s main website.

The Bottom Line: This product is pretty meek. There is a bad return policy, and little to no customer service. The pros are the price point, and the ingredients for the most part.

People Who Viewed Atrafen Review Also Viewed Trim Down Club.

Atrafen is not a complete waste of money, but you will be taking a risk if you purchase it due to their horrible refund policy. At the end of the day, the ingredient list seems to be pretty good, and the thermogenic effect the company promises is there. While some have seen weight loss, others have not seen any so it is a complete gamble if it will work for you or not. The side effects are really limited, so that is a positive! With the price point being somewhat low for 30 days, it might not be a terrible gamble but it is one I most likely would not take.

Xyng Review

Xyng is a natural appetite suppressant and diet pill manufactured by the company Xyngular. It is said to create natural energy, appetite control, and improve your mood all by taking the capsules regularly. The company is based out of Lehi, Utah and they are open to the public Monday through Friday 9:00am to 5:00 pm. They sell a wide variety of products regarding health and wellness, and they also are a MLM type company with opportunity to make money through selling their products.

The Final Verdict

The company does a good job marketing their products, and offers a desirable presentation to those interested in joining the team. The product Xyng itself has had less than impressive reviews with its effectiveness and side effects. This product is not dangerous by any means, but it is important to follow the instructions as it has a high amount of caffeine.

How Does Xyng Work?

This product is marketed to help suppress your appetite, control hunger, and boost your metabolism. You are supposed to take 2 capsules each day and that is the entire “how to” on the serving instructions. It is important you take this supplement after food or your stomach may be negatively affected. Because of its high caffeine content, you will notice either jitters or energy (it will be different for everyone) depending on how your body reacts to caffeine. The appetite control portion of the capsule will happen due to the garcinia cambogia and the bitter orange extract present.

Garcinia cambogia is known to help suppress down your appetite because of HCA contained naturally in the rind. There are studies that show it causes modest weight loss, but nothing is set in stone with these findings.

The Bottom Line: Xyng comes in the form of a capsule that can be taken up to two times daily. It contains ingredients (noted below) that do have hunger suppressants active.

Is Xyng Safe?

The ingredient list is nothing short of intense. Caffeine, stimulants, and classic diet pill ingredients are present. As with anything of this nature there will be side effects present. The most common noted are upset stomach and jitters.

The caffeine content is so high that it is important to try one at first, and then move to two if you need it. While it is not typically dangerous, it is loaded with a ton of stimulants that could bother your system.

Xyng Ingredient List: Caffeine Anhydrous, white willow bark extract, 5-HTP, bitter orange extract, garcinia cambogia extract, green tea leaf extract, cayenne pepper fruit extract, rhodiola root extract, Korean ginseng root, maca root, black tea leaf extract, yohimbe bark extract, and black pepper fruit extract.

Those who have tried it commented that they were actually not thrilled with how it made them feel. Many noted a caffeine overload, and sick to their stomach feeling associated with taking the pills. Granted, these are only a few reviews, but they are important to note. Others may have had a good experience but they were not noted.

The Bottom Line: This product is not dangerous by any means, but it is important to follow the instructions as it has a high amount of caffeine.

Pros and Cons of Xyng

This product is average when looking at the comments and ingredient list available on the main website. This is a pro. The fact that the company provides a detailed list of ingredients is important for every consumer to know about. For one bottle of the Xyng capsules it will cost the regular customer $60.00 or if you sell the product $49.99. This is a con, as it is very expensive. The prices are not shown on their website which is another con (many people base whether they are going to buy it or not by the price).

A pro is the marketing and the videos on the main website, as they are very appealing to the eye and are welcoming to someone looking to join the MLM team. Finally, the reviews were less than stellar as far as effectiveness is concerned and side effects so this is something to think about.

The Bottom Line: The company does a good job marketing their products, and offers a desirable presentation to those interested in joining the team. The product Xyng itself has had less than impressive reviews with its effectiveness and side effects.

People Who Viewed Xyng Review Also Viewed Trim Down Club.

Overall, the Xyng supplement is loaded with the most desirable weight loss ingredients on the market today. However, it comes at a steep price. The ingredients are also said to give off side effects like jitters and upset stomach, and the caffeine consumption is very high. If you are sensitive to caffeine in anyway, this product is not for you. Be mindful of taking it if you are on other medications as they could potentially become effected. If you are looking for an energy boost, this will certainly give you one. Everyone reacts to caffeine differently, so some people may feel effected while others may not.

Metabolife Review

Metabolize review
Metabolife Ultra is an over the counter diet product that has been around since 2005, and the company claims that this diet pill will suppress your appetite as well as your cravings down.
It is produced by Twin Laboratories and their customer service number is 1-800-645-5626. You can buy this product at Wal-Mart, Target, or order online from websites
like Women who are pregnant and nursing are not advised to take Metabolife Ultra, as well as folks who have sensitivity to caffeine or have high blood
pressure. There is a warning and disclaimer on the bottle for this product. The ingredientsin this diet pill are:
Meratrim Blend: Sphaeranthus Indicus (Flower) and GarciniaMangostana (Fruit). Other Ingredients: Modified Cellulose, Stearic Acid, Croscarmellose Sodium, Dextrin, Silica, Titanium Dioxide, Polyethylene Glycol, Soy Lecithin, Dextrose, Sodium Carboxymethylcellulose, FD&C Yellow 5, FD&C Red 40, Sodium Citrate, FD&C Blue 2, Me vratrim Blend, Garcinia Cambogia Extract, Chromium, and Caffeine.

Do Dieters Lose Weight With Metabolife?

There was a mix of customers who liked the product and said it worked somewhat for them, and then another wave of customers who said the product did absolutely nothing for them and their weight loss. Long term weight loss was almost at a complete zero, nor could we find many who felt healthier overall. They claim you will lose inches, BMI (Body Mass Index) and weight simply from taking a pill. This is very typical with a product like this that is generically sold anywhere to the general public. The diet pill does not promote healthy eating or any exercise as the company markets the pill alone will be the end all be all to your weight loss woes.

Is Metabolife Easy To Follow?

Yes, it is extremely easy to follow which is why many people have not seen success with Metabolife. There is more to gaining your health and wellness that doesn’t include taking a diet pill. You are instructed to take this diet pill once or twice a day with water, and start to magically see pounds and inches fall away before your eyes (cough). For the small price of $21.99 this sounds like it was sent straight down from heaven. But as most of you already know miracles might exist but not when it comes to weight loss. Hard work, dedication and a healthy diet are a must to succeed in this area.

You are simply taking a diet pill that claims to require no exercise and no healthy eating. This is just too predictable, and no one should fall for this lie anymore no matter how glamorous their marketing can be. I would not buy this product, let alone take it if it was free. This product is the king of quick fixes, and putting a band aid over a wound that needs real help is where the issue really lies. This diet pill will not give you health or wellness long term, and your weight is you manage to lose any will not stay away once you stop taking this diet pill. Do yourself and your well-being a favor and just stay away from these marketing schemes that only care about getting a million small sales from people. Look for a structured diet and maybe when that offers community to join and be apart of.
*Please keep in mind that with any diet or weight loss program, individual results will vary.

Sono Bello Review

Sono Bello Review

Word On The Street About SONO BELLO

In all the customer feedback I looked at for this review, even the worst of the complaints rarely mentioned actual injury, though there was one who mentioned a woman had died at a Florida clinic. I say right now I didn’t follow up on the report, so I can’t confirm or refute it beyond the reviewer’s account.

There were a lot of complaints about treatments that weren’t at all what the customer expected, or multiple treatments sold but not finished – one woman spoke of purchasing lipo treatments for both sides of her abdomen that were to be done 30 days apart, having the first side done, then being told it would be six months, then not being able to contact anyone at her clinic after that. So she’s stuck with half of a toned abdomen.

NOTE: Always check with your medical doctor before beginning any cosmetic surgery. Some medications can interfere with anesthesia.

SONO BELLO Pros and Cons

I’m going to label these as potential Pros, simply because on the surface they look great.

  • The Local Awake Anesthesia can be comforting to patients, less “scary”
  • Pricing options on the website give potential customers a ballpark figure to work with.

But the latter of those Pros takes a hit with a big Con. And there are numerous others.

  • Sales and Clinic Staff are clearly on two different pages, if not planets. And it may well be that way by design: the classic bait-and-switch. I lost count of the number of reviewers who said they were told the $1395-per-area TriSculpt price by the sales rep only to be charged twice that when they got to the clinic.

And it doesn’t stop there:

I would tell anyone and everyone I know not to go to Sonobello. There is such a lack of communication between the Sales people and the staff at the clinic. I was told the procedure would be 1395.00 for each area of the body. The cost was twice that, $2695.00 and the sales person told me I had a credit line that was such I would have to put down $4000.00 in order to finance the rest. Stupidly I agreed to this. Then I was told the fee for backing out of a procedure was $950.00. She had the bill at a whopping $12,000.00.

The Bottom Line

Run. Sono Bello might claim to be the #1 Cosmetic Surgery Specialist in the country, but the reviews say otherwise. Dishonest, pushy, unorganized—and remarkably ineffective, it would seem—I can’t find anything about this company to recommend. Go to an actual plastic surgeon, even if you have to save up extra. The chain-clinic model isn’t working.

Sono Bello is a Cosmetic Surgery Specialist Center, marketing themselves as #1 in all of America. Headquartered in Scottsdale, Arizona, Sono Bello locations are nationwide but sparse, with 40 total clinics in just 21 of the 50 states. They market laser liposuction, facelifts, and cellulite treatments, the most popular procedures being TriSculpt and Lift, which we’ll highlight today.

Are these procedures cheap? That depends entirely on your current income level. Trisculpt starts at $1,395 per area, and Lift procedures start at $2,995.

How Do SONO BELLO Procedures Work?

TriSculpt focuses on body areas rather than face: thighs, belly, chest, legs, etc. Each area treatment involves three steps:

  1. Localized Awake Anesthesia: “Patients remain awake throughout the procedure, receiving local anesthesia in the areas of treatment. This allows the patient to communicate with the physician throughout the procedure.”
  2. Power Assisted Liposuction: “Our physicians use power-assisted technologies with micro cannulas and gentle suction to effectively remove the majority of unwanted fat, especially in large body areas.”
  3. Micro-Laser Assisted Liposuction:Special laser-assisted equipment is used for the finishing touches.”

Sono Bello calls it “body contouring,” which apparently sounds less harsh than “liposuction.”

Are SONO BELLO Procedures Covered?

Sono Bello procedures are not covered by insurance, but the company does offer finance plans such as:

  • No interest if its paid within 6 months
  • No interest if its paid within 12 months
  • 90% APR and Fixed Monthly Payments

Facial Rejuvenation with Lift® offers Neck & Jaw Line, Eyes, and Brows work. The website doesn’t offer much information on the procedure itself, though face-lift procedures do tend to be more invasive and recovery time is generally longer, but it’s still done under the Localized Awake Anesthesia (I think this would freak me out a bit, but that’s me).

Both procedures start with an in-person consultation to determine your needs and goals for a treatment.

Are SONO BELLO Procedures Dangerous?

All surgeries carry some risk. For specific risks associated with cosmetic surgeries, we turn to the Mayo Clinic:

All surgeries, including cosmetic procedures, carry risk. Those with a history of cardiovascular disease, lung disease, diabetes or obesity have a higher risk of developing complications such as pneumonia, stroke, heart attack or blood clots in the legs or lungs. Smoking also increases risks and interferes with healing. …

Possible complications for any surgical procedure include:

  • Complications related to anesthesia, including pneumonia, blood clots and, rarely, death
  • Infection at the incision site, which may worsen scarring and require additional surgery
  • Fluid build up under the skin
  • Mild bleeding, which may require another surgical procedure, or bleeding significant enough to require a transfusion
  • Obvious scarring or skin breakdown, which occurs when healing skin separates from healthy skin and must be removed surgically
  • Numbness and tingling from nerve damage, which may be permanent

Did SONO BELLO Meet Expectations?

Many complained that the procedures they got didn’t even come close to meeting their expectations. Sometimes it was that same lack of communication between sales and clinic, or just the absolute rudeness of both, but others felt they’d paid a lot of money and gotten next to nothing in return:

An Appalling Experience

The lady went through the paper work so fast I hardly had time to go over it and she said the other ladies were wanting to go home and we were taking too long. … Next she told me to go over to get the treatment on a Saturday. She said they will give you something for fever blisters because likely this would cause them because it was kind of hot and close to your lips.

…drive 2 hours over to the clinic only to get a phone call about the time I was suppose to arrive and they tell me the sales person should not have scheduled me on a day that the doctor was not even there. That my pre-op was not scheduled. I told them my paper work says my pre-op is on the 18th of the month not today. … I go in and I ask her if she was going to give me the fever blister medicine and she says oh no, we don’t do that. Who told you that? I said the lady that took my money. She said well, I know everyone says that girl is really nice but she tells people things that just are not true and does not know what she is talking about.

So we start the treatment no questions about me at all. 5 minutes in my face is on fire and the girl says you are getting really red. Then 5 more minutes and she says we have to stop your face is really red and I am afraid to continue. So I said OK, yeah its burning… told them I don’t know what is going on it could be my meds I take maybe… leave with only 10 minutes of a 30 minute treatment… told them, I was suppose to have 3 of those. Will I be refunded or compensated. She said well you will have to take it up with your sales person. … (emphasis added)

That wasn’t even the whole extent of this poor woman’s experience. It’s worth a look after you finish reading here.

Phentremine Review

Phentremine Review

Phentremine is an over the counter weight loss pill that contains ingredients like synephrine and hoodia gordinii. There are different types of Phentremine available, some containing different ingredients which will then require a prescription.

They are spelled slightly different (Phentermine vs. Phentremine). This particular supplement I will provide the ingredient list below so there is no confusion, and it does not require a prescription.

These two different weight loss supplements are spelled very similar, but they are very different as far as composition makeup of ingredients. The company that manufactures Phentremine is USP Pharma.

The Final Verdict

Do not get confused between Phentremine and Phentermine. This is a supplement that is recognized for it’s ability to suppress an appetite. The latter of the two is actually a pill that must be prescribed.

How Does Phentremine Work?

Many would describe phentremine as a supplement, and it is meant to be taken orally and works as an appetite suppressant, and that is it. When doing research on this supplement there is little information about it, because it gets overshadowed by “Phentermine” which is much more potent and requires a prescription. It is meant to cause a natural appetite suppressant and nothing more, so the side effects are rather miner in the grand scheme of things.

Is Phentremine Safe?

To be clear, Phentremine does NOT contain phentermine HCI which is the cause for a prescription. This product is much safer than the HCI type, as this one comes with a lot more side effects which are not pleasant.

The Ingredient list:
• Hoodie Gordonii
• Yohimbine Extract
• White Willow Extract
• Citrus Aurantium
• Chromium
• Caffeine

Pros and Cons of Phentremine

Because there is very limited information about this supplement, it can be seen as a con. It is also not found many places to buy, so another con. I am sure many people get Phentermine and Phentremine confused, and there are multiple sources available out there for Phentermine which may ultimately cause a purchase or interest in the wrong supplement. The pros are the natural effect of this supplement, but I do not like how similar their names are as it causes confusion.

People Who Viewed Phentremine Review Also Viewed Trim Down Club.

All that is told about Phentremine is that it is a supplement and it does not require a prescription. It is not sold in many places, nor are there instructions on how to take the supplement or the cost. It is not readily available to people who are interested in purchasing it, and gets confused easily with Phentermine. While they are both weight loss pills, they have completely different ingredient lists and come with different side effects. Be careful when looking into taking either pill as they will have side effects one being more severe than the other.

XM3 Review

XM3 Diet Pills Review

XM3 capsules are weight loss supplements produced by the company Zija International. The company boasts their weight loss capsules will help boost your energy levels, suppress your appetite, and improve your focus. They claim the supplements are made with beneficial herbs and extracts to make all of their claims true. These extreme moringa caps are sold for $74.00 or $59.00 if you buy them at wholesale cost. In each bottle you will get a 30 day supply, and the company promises distribution perks and a wholesale seller if you are truly interested in making some extra money on the side. This product is sold on their main website only.

Final Verdict

With how expensive this product is for one bottle, there are too many red flags to make it a good investment. While nothing looks that dangerous at first glance, the product could come with side effects. It contains a lot of caffeine and phenylethylamine which in turn poses a risk to certain folks.

People Who Viewed XM3 Review Also Viewed Trim Down Club.

How Does XM3 Work?

Instructions for taking the XM3 capsules are really simple, as you will only take one pill one hour after eating breakfast. The side effects will then kick into gear throughout your day, and they are supposed to be: reduction of hunger, more focus, and more energy. Does it hold up to its marketing claims? I will dive into that below. An interesting ingredient found in the XM3 capsule is phenylethylamine, which is best known to give off the feeling of “love” otherwise known as the happy hormone to someone in love. While this may seem to boost a mood, it also comes with side effects and may not be good to take long term.

It has also been found that when you take phenylethylamine orally, its effect is completely neutralized meaning it does not work as it is supposed to. This will make a person question its effectiveness in general because this is one of the main ingredients to help with weight loss.

The Bottom Line: The XM3 product is easy to take. The consumer will simply take one capsule with water about one hour after eating breakfast in the morning, and go about their day. The effects of the ingredients are supposed to take effect as the day moves along.

Is XM3 Safe?

If you look at the ingredient list below, it claims to be all natural. As with anything of this nature, there will be side effects linked. Some have a hard time with caffeine to their systems which may cause jitters, headaches, and upset stomach.

There is a lot of caffeine in this supplement to be aware of if you are sensitive. Always contact your doctor before taking a diet pill like XM3 as there could be hidden side effects that could work against your health.

Ingredient List: Green Tea EGCG, DMHA, Natural Caffeine, KinetiQ, Caffeine Citrate, Korean Ginseng, Niacin, Hordinine, Moringine, Evodiamine, TriMethylGlycine, Benzylamine HCL, Magnesium Stearate, FloGard, Rice Flour, BioPerene*, Gelatin Capsule

The Bottom Line: While nothing looks that dangerous at first glance, the product could come with side effects. It contains a lot of caffeine and phenylethylamine which in turn poses a risk to certain folks.

Pros and Cons of XM3

The only pro is the list of natural ingredients. The company talks about the cutting edge science behind their formula, and then gives little to no information about it actually relating to the XM3 pills and the ingredients said to help someone lose weight. They seem a bit estranged from the rest of the internet, meaning the product is not sold anywhere but the website so this is the first con. It is hard to get ahold of, which makes me think large retailers won’t go near it with a ten-foot pole. There are also no testimonials on the website which is another con because real people are not giving their word on its effectiveness.

There are no quantities regarding ingredients either when you look at the ingredient list on the site. It is vague. I hate when ingredient lists are vague, because it is something we are putting in our bodies! The customer must know exactly what is in the product, and how much of each ingredient. My final large con is with the ingredient phenylethylamine, as it loses effectiveness once taken orally. This neutralizes a lot of the weight loss power, so the company has little to no reference that their product actually works like they market it to.

The Bottom Line: With how expensive this product is for one bottle, there are too many red flags to make it a good investment.

XM3 is a complete hopeful weight loss pill, that is loaded with obscene amounts of caffeine, and phenylethylamine which is not said to even be effective once taken orally. These capsules are extremely expensive for what you are actually going to get which is disheartening. After really diving into the company, it seems as if they are just selling a product in a lazy manner with a sloppy website. Not a product I would spend $74.00 on any day of the week!

Active Pk Review

Aktive Pk Review

There are an equal number of pros and cons when taking Active PK. There are not many cons that are major red flags, but it may interact with certain medications. The company offers a nice 90-day guarantee, so if you do not see results after 30+ days you can send it back no questions asked.

Pros and Cons of ACTIVE PK

This is a simple pill, but it costs an arm and a leg for six bottles. Each bottle comes with a 30-day supply, so for 6 months it will cost over three hundred dollars. That may not be affordable for a large number of people which is why I am calling out my first con. A pro is the natural ingredient list, and how easy the product is to take with miner side effects aside from medication interference and possible stomach discomfort. Another con is that there is no word about healthy eating or exercise, so they are putting all of their weight loss hopes into a pill which could potentially let you down.

My final pro is their return policy which states, “LCR Health is proud to offer a 90-Day money back guarantee, Ironclad Guarantee on every single order of Active-PK. If for any reason this revolutionary formula does not meet your expectations, simply send it back for a full refund of the purchase price. You can even use the entire supply and simply send back the empty bottles.

The Bottom Line: There are an equal number of pros and cons when taking Active PK. There are not many cons that are major red flags, but it may interact with certain medications. The company offers a nice 90-day guarantee, so if you do not see results after 30+ days you can send it back.

Active Pk is a dietary supplement manufactured by the company LCR Health and it contains three ingredients. AMPK is an enzyme in the body that communicates with the brain to stop storing fat, and turn it into energy instead, therefore the company named the supplement after this enzyme. They claim the three-ingredient supplement will give the consumer more energy, clearer thinking, a decrease in abdominal fat, and an overall stronger and healthier body. They offer buying the bottle of pills in one, three, or six quantity options. For one bottle it is $69.00, for three it is $186.30, and for six it is $330.15.

How Does ACTIVE PK Work?

In each capsule there are 650 mg of the three ingredients combined: Berberine, Quercetin, and Gynostemma. The company “recommends” the customer purchase three bottles just to start out with (ouch) and say the best bang for your buck is the six bottle option. For over three hundred dollars, let’s make sure this product is actually legitimate. Berberine is supposed to help with metabolism regulation, quercetin acts as an anti-inflammatory in the body, and gynostemma is a specific herb that aids in protection from heart disease and has other antioxidant properties.

In short, when taking this supplement they advise to take two capsules with a glass of water. You can have food, or take them on an empty stomach and it is supposed to have no side effects.

This is how it is marketed, but there are actually side effects to be aware of if you have pre-existing health conditions.

Other than just taking the capsules daily, and continuing to do so until you feel your goals have been achieved there is nothing more advised from the company as far as “how to” take them.

The Bottom Line: You will take to Active PK capsules with water. Feel free to take them with food, or if you are in a hurry you can ingest them with an empty stomach.

Even though the company markets that this supplement should have no side effects, there are some that will naturally occur in the body. Berberine is going to naturally reduce your blood sugar levels.

If you have type 2 diabetes this could be dangerous for you, so always talk first with your doctor before taking any of the Active PK capsules.

This ingredient has the power to decrease natural sugar processing in your liver as well as slow the breakdown of carbs in your stomach. Lastly, it can interfere with certain antibiotics like macrolide antibiotics, so it is extremely important to check it all out before taking any capsules.
Other minor side effects that have been noted are diarrhea, stomach cramps, and stomach discomfort pared with nausea. With all of that being said, it is a natural supplement with three ingredients that are commonly used in Chinese medicine. It can come along with side effects, but if you do your research and it all checks out you will be cleared most likely with no problems.

Final Verdict on ACTIVE PK

Overall, the people who have taken this supplement did see some results but there were also others who took advantage of the 90-day return policy because they saw no results. It really is an individualized supplement that could work (or not) depending on your body’s reaction to the herbs. While it’s not a major gamble to try it, the product is pretty expensive for what you are actually getting. LCR Health seems like an honest company with a solid return policy however, so it makes the gamble not as large in the long run. If you are on the fence about taking it because of a medication or health issue always run it by your doctor first before doing anything else.

Invigor8 Diet Review

Invigor8 is a nutritional company that offers two different products for those looking to lose weight, the Superfood Shake and the Fat Burner. The company is based out of La Jolla, California and their products are made at Biomedical Research Laboratories. They started up in 2008 by a bio-engineering team from UCSD. I will be taking a deeper look into their best seller, which is the Superfood Shake said to contain eight unique complexes to support your overall health and weight loss goals. It retails for $59.95 a bottle for 15 servings, and the shipping costs $9.95. If you opt for the two bottle option shipping is free, and the cost is $99.90, and for the three bottle option it will cost $179.90 also with free shipping.

How Does Invigor8 Work?

First, I wanted to look at their business model which is a subscribe and save system. Once you opt for two or three bottles you won’t pay for the shipping, but product will get sent to you every 30 days for two, and every 60 days for three. There is a 90-day money back guarantee when you the shakes, and you can cancel your subscribe and save service anytime as long as product hasn’t already shipped out. They recommend cancelling at least 3 days before the ship date.

The shake itself is easy to take with you on the go, or at home. Simply fill a glass or bottle with 1.5 cups of cold water, and then add two scoops of Invigor8 powder. You can add any liquid of choice if you want something more caloric like milk. Shake and cover for 30 seconds and enjoy. Other than that, there are no other specific instructions to follow.

There are subscribe and save options when buying more than one bottle. When taking the shake simply add 1-1.5 cups of liquid and 2 scoops of powder.

Is Invigor8 Safe?

This shake is clean, and it has a lot of great ingredients to help achieve health. The shake itself is meant to achieve whole body health and wellness by reducing body fat, getting toned, and controlling hunger all at the same time. There are 170 calories per serving, and there are 20 grams of grass fed whey protein available. There are 2,500 mg of a green veggie complex which includes kale, alfalfa grass, chlorella algae powder, spinach and broccoli. Other ingredients include:

  • Probiotic Complex: Lactobacillus Acidophilus and Bifidobacteruim Bifidum
  • Prebiotic – Fiber Complex: Chicory root extract (Inulin)
  • L-Theanine, Bacopa, and Monnieri for cognitive helath
  • Digestive Enzymes: Amylase, Lactase, Neutral Protease, Lipase, Bromelain, and Papain
  • Fatty Acids: Flaxseed Powder, Chia Seeds, Coconut Powder

People Who Viewed Also Viewed Trim Down Club.

There are no real questionable ingredients that cause any concern, and the servings sizes all match up. On the main website the company gives the customer education about what ingredients to avoid:

  • rbGH
  • Soy protein
  • Maltodextrin
  • Refined Sugar
  • Heavy Metals
  • Carrageenan
  • Artificial colors

The Bottom Line: This is a safe product with good ingredients and an insightful website.

Pros and Cons of Invigor8

Overall, there are more pros than real cons with looking at Invigor8. The price point is expensive and can be seen as a con for some people but all in all the product matches up. It has good protein which will keep hunger away, and it can safely be used as a meal replacement shake if needed. While only 170 calories may not be enough for one meal it will fill you up with good greens and vitamins along with a healthy meal of choice. They market that their shake has only natural and healthy ingredients which is nice to read. Another pro is the customer service being readily available if you need to cancel your subscription. You are not locked into anything. On the flip side, the subscription is also seen as a con because many people want to get a good price, and order when they want which Invigor8 doesn’t offer.

This company is reputable, and the SuperFood shake is a good product even though it is expensive for only 15 servings. You get what you pay for in this situation.

Invigor8 is a USA based company with a clean line of products. The SuperFood Shake is one to try out if you have the budget for it in the long haul. The 90 day money back guarantee is solid, and it is not conditional on whether you have opened up the product or not. There are no artificial sweeteners in this product, only natural ones which ensures you will not have any major blood sugar spikes. Lastly, on the website, the company is very open about all of their labels and provide all of the ingredient lists for the customer to freely see which is a nice sign. If you are looking for a healthy shake product, this just may be the ticket if you can afford its high price.

Dissociated Diet Review

DISASSOCIATED DIET is a food program that divides and conquers so to speak. There are different categories based on the type of food, for example carbohydrates and protein. Instead of the dieter focusing all of their attention on the type of food they eat, it is more about the combination of the different food groups. Eating food from different categories together is seen as a no no because of the way the body converts it into fat. Eating the food groups separately is what the creators of the Disassociated Diet recommend.

The creator William Howard Hay believes that consuming foods made up of one macro-nutrient at a time will cause weight loss, less bloat and overall more energy. This diet was started in 1911, and it was built on theories that nutrients should not be combined as it will slow down the digestive process. When the digestive process slows, Dr. Hay believed it caused a variety of health issues to deal with.

The Bottom Line: The creator of the Dissociated Diet, Dr. Hays, saw an idea of mixing food as a big no no.

The diet itself is pretty simple to follow. You cannot mix any foods together in the same day, or even in the same meal. All of the meals you eat need to contain a major food type, but there cannot be two different major food types on a plate (think carbohydrate and protein). It is also frowned upon to mix different proteins together such as beef and fish for example. Along with an entire host of rules and regulations, desserts and fruits are not recommended after any meals.

Basically, the entire diet is founded on the idea that digestion happens in the body in specific acidic worlds, meaning different foods are processed at different pH levels in the body which is why mixing foods wreaks havoc on the system. If you do mix foods, weight loss is said to be unlikely, partial digestion of foods may occur, and you will experience constipation gas and bloating.

The Bottom Line: The diet has a list of foods that are acceptable, and then a set of rules to follow when eating the foods on the list.

The basis of this specific diet program are pretty safe for the most part. There are certain rules like not eating meat after 7:00pm, eating meals three hours apart, only drinking water, and not drinking any alcohol while on the diet that can turn people off. As far as safety is concerned, there is nothing unsafe about this program as a whole. The types of food allowed on the diet are:
Meat and fish, cheese, eggs, vegetables with or without a high starch content, cereal, bread, polenta, onions, garlic, milk, butter, and a variety of fruits.

The Bottom Line: The diet has a list of foods that are acceptable, and then a set of rules to follow when eating the foods on the list.

As with any diet there are going to be some major pros and cons associated with the structure of the diet itself. There is a large list of foods that are allowed that are not known to be the most healthy such as breads, cereals, and tropical fruit which is high in sugar and causes an insulin spike. You can eat ice cream if you wish, as long as you do not have anything else such as biscuits or creams which is an easy rule to follow. With all that being said, there is not real education about eating a healthy diet to feel better overall and it is solely based around the body’s digestion.
Another con is the fact that the diet is not very well balanced at each meal, and you may run the risk of missing out on nutrients needed for optimal health. The unique eating patterns do not form great habits long term, but they are quite interesting to say the least. Some pros are the fact that you will most likely eat more greens in one sitting, and that the program is free.

The Bottom Line: There are more cons up front than pros, but they are minor. A pro is that it is a free program, and a con is that the eating patterns may not promote health and weight loss long term.

This is an interesting diet model, and it dates back to 1911 which makes this old school to say the least. Not many people follow this way of eating, and they are still losing weight so it is not the only way to get a hold of those unwanted pounds. The concept of the layout and rules are interesting, but it is not impressive because it allows rather unhealthy foods which will not make you feel great after eating them (even if it is by themselves). Taking its idea with a grain of salt, and being more cautious about the hours you eat meat, and how to pair certain foods together for optimal nutrition less all of the rules seems like a better way to go!

Perfect Portions Review

Perfect Portion Review

Perfect Portions

Perfect Portions is a weight loss system that uses portion control containers as a means to get food consumption under control. These containers are perfectly portioned out for the customer so there are no question marks as to how much they should be eating. The specific containers are meant to hold an entire day’s worth of food in each of the seven categories. Once you are out of food in that specific container, that is your max for the day. The company markets, “no more calorie counting.” This product is sold at Bed Bath and Beyond, many retailers online, and in some grocery stores nationwide.

How Does Perfect Portions Work?

There are seven different containers that are different sizes and colors. Fruits (red), veggies (green), proteins (purple), healthy fats (blue), carbs (yellow), seeds and dressings (yellow and red) x2. The containers come with a meal plan and recipe guide which are encouraged to be used. The idea is simply that once you run out of food in the container, that category is done for the entire day. There is no restrictions as to what type of food you can put into the containers.

The containers are said to be made with a really durable plastic so that they will last long term, through many washes and uses. It is meant to be used for your entire day’s worth of food, but many people thought the containers were really small, making them a good “lunch set.”

The Bottom Line: This product is supposed to be used for an all-day type of use for the food you are eating. There are 7 color coded and portioned containers to guide a dieter through their day of eating.

Is Perfect Portions Safe?

There is nothing harmful about this diet product, and there are absolutely no side effects that come along with purchasing it. The cost is anywhere from $10-15.00 for seven pieces. If you want to buy more (21 let’s say) it will be triple the cost and so on. Perfect Portions was featured on “As Seen On TV” so it can come across as a gag diet item, but the idea is rather harmless and has helped those in search of portion control. The only controversial sight is how small the containers are for an entire day’s worth of food. No wonder the company says you will see weight loss in three week’s time.

The Bottom Line: This product is safe for the most part, but the portion sizes are tiny which may leave the customer really hungry throughout the day!

Pros and Cons of Perfect Portions

I will just start this section off by stating the obvious. When you look at the Perfect Portion containers you will notice they are very small. Everyone who purchased these will most likely have noticed it, and those who left reviews mentioned the small size. So it is not realistic that an entire days worth of veggies, protein, carbs, fruits, etc. will fit into those containers. Another con is the fact that no one wants to eat the same meals for breakfast lunch and dinner. Meals are versatile, but the containers are not. Storing them and packing them along for an entire day out is tricky too. They take up a lot of space, making them not very user friendly for an office setting.

A pro is the color coordination, and a nice system for portion control. If you are not leaving the house and can wash them out to change meals up this could be right for you. The price is also very affordable for many people, so if they get lost or damaged they are easily replaced. They are easy calorie control, and the company offers a nice nutritional booklet to go along with the containers which is nice.

The Bottom Line: This product does have more realistic cons than pros, but it is affordable enough that some people may not feel the cons are a deal breaker.

The Perfect Portions diet product is a clever idea, and they are sold in many accessible locations both retail and online. The price is affordable to most, and the concept is easy to grasp onto when you are looking for ways to start dieting and watching your portions. The containers are small, so it doesn’t seem realistic that an entire day’s worth of food fits into the containers. Aside from the pros and cons the company did a good job of making a product easy to understand and durable for many washes and uses.

Contrave Review

Contrave Review

Contrave Diet Pills

Contrave markets itself as the #1 branded weight loss pill on the market, so it caught my attention right away. How does a diet pill market itself as the number one weight loss pill anyway? To be clear, it is a prescription weight loss pill. It is only meant for adults with a BMI of 30 or higher. On their main website they market free online delivery with a doctors prescription is available. As with any prescription pill, it is going to come with side effects. There are also going to be studies done on the effectiveness of the pill. Take a look below at the findings, to see if this pill is worth it for you.

How Does Contrave Work?

It is rather simple to take once you are prescribed it, as it is a simple diet pill. This simple diet pill comes with side effects (see below). It is an extended release tablet that contains the antidepressant bupropion, and the drug that it meant to treat addictions naltrexone. When taking the pill, dieters are encouraged to reduce their daily calories and exercise.

There was a study done on a large group of people over 56 weeks, and the total weight loss from Contrave was a measly 12 pounds. They calculated only 9 of those pounds really came from the drug itself and the other three were from diet and exercise.

The Bottom Line: This easy to take extended release pill is loaded with strong drugs that will not only give you side effects but the results were less than impressive.

Is Contrave Safe?

Right on the website it states,

One of the ingredients in CONTRAVE, bupropion, may increase the risk of suicidal thinking in children, adolescents, and young adults. CONTRAVE patients should be monitored for suicidal thoughts and behaviors. In patients taking bupropion for smoking cessation, serious neuropsychiatric adverse events have been reported. CONTRAVE is not approved for use in children under the age of 18.”

As you can tell, this weight loss pill comes with major side effects and needs to be safely prescribed by a doctor before you can even take it. Other side effects noted were seizures, opioid withdrawal, liver damage, hepatitis, visual problems, low blood sugar, increased blood pressure and heart rate. Nausea and headaches are almost an 100% guarantee.  It is not safe to take without medical supervision. The ingredients of Contrave are: naltrexone hydrochloride and bupropion hydrochloride.

The Bottom Line: No, this pill is not safe. There are side effects that you are guaranteed to experience, none of which are pleasant.

Pros and Cons of Contrave

Looking at this diet pill from a 10,000 foot view it is supposed to help work the area in your brain that controls hunger. It is also the part of your brain that is the reward system. Risky to mess with the chemicals in the brain, which is why you will experience a plethora of side effects while taking Contrave. This is a con. A pro is that some insurances will cover the cost for you to take Contrave, so for those who are eligible it will be free of cost almost. Another pro is the fact that it has to be doctor prescribed. This keeps it out of the hands of those people not really qualified to take it. You must have a BMI of 30 or greater, so this eliminates some of the population. Aside from the major side effects there are less than impressive results while taking Contrave, which in my opinion is the largest con of them all. Why put yourself through all of the uncomfortable side effects for less than impressive results?

The Bottom Line: When looking into the pros and cons there are far more cons than pros. The results are less than impressive, there are major side effects, and it is not available for everyone to take which can be seen as both a pro and a con.

Contrave is supposed to be the #1 weight loss pill on the market. If so how is it not even available to the masses. It comes with bad side effects that can alter your quality of life indefinitely, as well as some minor side effects that will most certainly effect your day to day like nausea and headaches. Weight loss was actually minor, and it was hardly better than the placebo pill half of the people in the study were taking. Why put your health at risk with very minimal results? Not worth the look at all when it is all said and done.

Amino Energy Review

Amino Energy Review

Amino Energy

Amino Energy by Optimum Nutrition is a supplement created to aid in muscle recovery. Designed for after a long workout or string of many workouts. It also aims to provide both energy and focus which is impressive for any BCAA supplement. If you are not familiar with what BCAA stands for it is: Branch Chain Amino Acid. In other words it is a certain type of amino acid that has an aliphatic side-chain with three or more carbon atoms and a central carbon atom. The company Optimum Nutrition is based out of Downers Grove, Illinois.

Consumer Affairs Department
3500 Lacey Rd Ste 1200
Downers Grove, IL 60515

How Does Amino Energy Work?

First and foremost this is a relatively cheap supplement to purchase at $15.99 for 20 servings, $19.99 for 30 servings, and 65 servings for $37.99. The company suggests that you can take this supplement as a pre-workout, in the morning, or when you need anytime energy due to the caffeine content. If you need the afternoon pick me up you will use 2 scoops in water (no amount specified) and this stays the same pretty for any use you may need.

This product comes in a variety of flavors such as: Blue raspberry, blue lemonade. Grade, fruit fusion, green apple, iced café vanilla, lemon lime, orange, peach, pineapple, strawberry, and many more.

The Bottom Line: There are a variety of flavors to choose from and a variety of sizes to purchase. The serving size is typically 2 scoops.

Is Amino Energy Safe?

This product is safe but it does contain a lot of ingredients! Take a look below:

Taurine, Gluatamine, L-Arginine, L-Leucine, Beta-Alanine, Citrulline, L-Isoleucine, L-Histidine, L-lysine HCI, L-Phenylalanine, L-threonine, L-Methionine, Green tea, Green tea extract, and Green coffee extract.

Taurine is found in many energy drinks and can have potential side effects such as jitters and headaches. So while the product is safe, it has a lot of caffeine in it so be careful if you take it in the late afternoon.

The Bottom Line: This product is not dangerous to your health when taken the correct way, however be mindful it is full of caffeine.

Pros and Cons of Amino Energy

When looking into the reviews from other people who have used it, some did not notice a difference in their workouts from Amino Energy. Some of these people may have a higher tolerance to caffeine than others so it affects everyone differently. This can be a con for sure. A pro would be the different flavors to choose from as there are a lot, and the price because it is an affordable BCAA supplement to take. There were also no terribly harsh side effects noted, so this is another pro. Another con is the taste, some of the flavors were said to not taste good at all, so it is good they have a variety of flavors to choose from.  Overall, the product has been said to both help, and not help when talking about a workout boost.

The Bottom Line: There are an equal amount of pros and cons, some of them being taste and performance and others being the price.

The Amino Energy supplement from Optimum Nutrition is okay, not great but not terrible. The price is nice, and the caffeine boost (for some people) is nice during the day but some people truly did not notice a difference. There was also talk about the flavors tasting poorly. While it is a nice touch from the company to offer this BCAA it almost seems unnecessary if you have a high caffeine tolerance. Others may disagree, and it has helped boost their workouts so overall this is a pretty neutral product.

Ab Doer 360 Review

Ab Doer Review

Ab Doer 360

The ab doer 360 is an at home exercise device that is said to be lightweight, compact, and easy to have in your home. It contains a seat with two striped handles that go out on each side from left to right. It claims to help strengthen, tone, and burn fat and calories all over the body but primarily in the stomach region. The company that produces this device is also called ab doer 360, and it is sold on their main website, thane direct online, and on just to name a few. It will cost around $199.95 not including shipping, and it comes with an instructional DVD with workouts so you are aware of how to use it from day one.

How Does The Ab Doer 360 Work?

You will stay seated the entire time you are working on this machine, and it targets the mid section but also helps sculpt the entire body. The seat swivels all around, and you will grab onto the handle bars which rest under your biceps. There is back support, and a lot os swiveling side to side and even in circular motions to engage those core muscles and back muscles.

Go side to side, or make large circles it is meant to mirror a stability ball with the movement seat. If you want to work your legs simply move them side to side and in and out for more work in those areas. The instructional DVD will show you a variety of moves you can practice to target select areas. Warning, it does look a little weird when you first see it but you can tell the muscle groups are being worked.

The Bottom Line: This exercise device has the user staying seated while they swivel around, right to left and back to front. Legs can also be worked as well.

Is The Ab Doer Safe?

If you follow the instructions the right way, you should not get hurt while using the ab doer 360. There is nothing really harmful about the device but know how to use it before jumping on it, as it does move and swivel a variety of ways. It can be used in the comfort of your own home, so always know your limits before getting any exercise machines as there is no supervision on overuse and technique.

The Ab Doer 360 has elevated bars which will align your spine and back in a safe position while making moves right to left and front to back. Improved flexibility is going to occur while using it because of how much natural stretching is occurring. While some people enjoyed the Ab Doer 360 for strength and weight loss, others complained it did strain their backs a touch so be mindful of that. Lastly, there is a dual roller on each side of the bars that support the back to gently massage the outsides of the spine.

The Bottom Line: This machine is safe, but some people have mentioned that their backs are sore so make sure you are set up correctly before operating.

Pros and Cons of The Ab Doer

As with any home exercise device, it is imperative that you watch the tutorial DVD before jumping on it, so that you do not get hurt. This can be both a pro and a con. If something is so complicated that you need to watch a DVD to understand how it works, it is not as user friendly as it could be. On the contrary it is nice that the company provides the DVD for customers. A con, it can come across as gimmicky which may be a turn off for some consumers. Another con is the price, because it costs over $200 with shipping. For those who may not know if it works or not it could be too steep of a price to pay.

Lastly, another con is simply the fact that the ab doer 360 is not found in many gyms, so familiarity is non existent making a purchase less hard.

The Bottom Line: Pros and cons are generally the same.

This ab product does more than just sculpt abs, it can really work the whole body if you use it correctly. It does come with a steep price, but compared to larger ticket items like treadmills it does not seem that expensive. Some users complained of back issues, but generally it is safe for use. It does not seem like a bad purchase, but it comes across as a little gimmicky at first look. All in all the ab doer 360 is another good option to help melt the pounds and get back into good shape.

Women’s Best Review

Whether you are looking for a protein powder, weight loss supplement, or Amino Acid to take daily this company has you covered. The products are not available on Amazon, so ordering from the website is the only way to go. They also offer apparel to help you jump start your way into working out in stylish and comfy clothes. The downside to this company is the lack of availability, and the mystery in trying the products. If you do not like them, sending them back can be tricky and potentially expensive.

Women’s Best is a sports nutritional line targeted at attaining a healthier body and they also offer sportswear along with the supplements. As you may have already guessed, this brand is targeted just for women. They offer a variety of different supplements which encourage weight loss, muscle gain, and more energy overall. The company was started by CEO David Kurzmann, and their headquarters is in Innsbruck, Austria. Because there are a variety of products to look into, I am just looking at the company as a whole. Some of their most popular products are the meal replacement shakes, protein powder, and their slim body shake.

Some of the different products offered:

  • Shape Body Shake- Meal replacement shake
  • BCAA Amino- For muscle growth
  • Fit Whey Protein Powder
  • Pre Workout Booster
  • Protein Bar- Box of 12
  • Amino & Energy
  • Slim Body Shake
  • Protein Spread
  • Burner Capsules
  • Creatine Powder
  • … and more

How Does Women’s Best Work?

Just because their headquarters is in Austria, doesn’t mean shipping is out of this world expensive. They ship all over the world, and the United States is a large customer for Women’s Best. Ship time usually ranges anywhere from 7-10 business days. Now that we are past that fear, lets move onto the products listed above. These products are all meant to get a woman on the right track as far as exercise and health is concerned. They offer a variety of women’s supplements but they are safe for men too according to their website.

As with any supplements there are specific instructions on how much and how often to take them safely. The company only recommends that the customer follow their direct how to instructions for safe use. As mentioned above, this company also offers sportswear to their customers and those items include:

  • Sports bras
  • Leggings
  • T shirts/Tops
  • Shorts
  • Hoodies/ Jackets

The Bottom Line: This company is versatile with rather quick shipping and both a supplement and sports line.

Is Women’s Best Safe?

This question will point fingers at the supplement line of course, as there are many different ingredients to be aware of. The proteins are generally safe, it is the energy and weight loss capsules to be mindful of. These generally contain caffeine such as green tea extract, guarana, and garcinia cambogia which all will come with side effects. For example, their “Burner Capsules” have these ingredients inside:

“Plant Capsule Shell (Cellulose), Green Tea Extract, Guarana Extract, Green Coffee Bean Extract, Caffeine Anhydrous, Choline Bitartrate, L-Tyrosin, Rhodiola Rosea Extract, Alpha Lipoic Acid, Cayenne pepper, Yerba Mate Tea Leaf, Raspberry Extract, Garcinia Cambogia, Anticaking agent (Magnesium Stearate), Flow Agent (Magnesium Stearate), Vitamin B5 (Calcium-D-pantothenat), Vitamin B9 (Folic Acid), D-Biotin, Vitamin B12 (Cyanocobalamin)”

The protein spread ingredients are rather clean and safe:

“Sweetner (Maltitol), Rapeseed Oil, Palm Oil, Coconut Oil, Whey Protein Concentrate (Milk), Hazelnuts, Cocoa Powder, Emulsifier (Soy Lecithin), Aroma”

As with anything always be on the lookout for any ingredients that may make your heart race, give you sweats, or too much energy because those can be dangerous. Because there are a variety of products to choose from such as energy capsules all the way to protein bars they have many areas to choose from regarding health supplements. There are none that raise red flags aside from the weight loss pills which may come with some minor side effects such as:

Headaches, fatigue, nausea, dry mouth, and upset stomach.

The Bottom Line: The product line is transparent with ALL of the ingredients in each of their products. This is a good quality. Be aware of the energy supplements and weight loss supplements for side effect purposes.

Pros and Cons of Women’s Best

There are no real cons regarding the company, and they have gotten a lot of good reviews from customers overall. Will everyone love each and every one of the their products? No. It is best to read ingredient labels, and potential side effects before purchasing. Also, they are not based out of the United States, so the customer service may be a bit harder to get into contact with due to the time change. The pros are simply variety in product and availability they offer to the consumer. There is no shortage of options when it comes to picking the right supplement for your personal health and fitness goals.

The Bottom Line: The company does a good job of being versatile, even while have the headquarters in Austria. They have gotten good reviews as a whole.
