Post Holiday Detox

With the wonderful time that the Holidays bring comes something else that most of us dread – weight gain. Weight gain not only affects the number on the scale but also the way you feel.

Have you been feeling kind of “bleh” from the food ingested during Holiday festivities? It is only normal to feel sluggish, bloated and tired due to consuming more food and food that you don’t get to enjoy on daily basis.

To think of it everything else in in life is great but January seems to bring in that unwanted feeling and you can’t help but think you never ever want to feel this way again. Your body affects your mind and you simply cannot get away from in unless you start a diet or commit to exercise on the daily basis.

One of the other proven to be effective ways to reduce the discomfort and maybe lose a few extra pounds is to try and detox your body by replacing breakfast with detoxifying smoothies for 3-5 days.

The Yellow Start

  • 5-6 dried apricots
  • 1 apple
  • 1 slice of pineapple
  • 1 tsp. chia seeds
  • 1 tsp. turmeric

Mix everything in a blender and enjoy!
