Pasternak’s list of distinguished clients includes Halle Berry, Alicia Keys, and Jessica Simpson. Pasternak uses their endorsements as a testament to his program’s success. The 5 Factor World Diet is based a lot on the number “5.” There are five meals that are eaten each day. There is one cheat day, and participants are expected to work out five days per week. Each meal that is consumed is smaller than a normal sized portion. It must contain lean proteins, low glycemic carbohydrates, healthy fats, and fiber. Keeping with the five theme, each meal is said to only take five minutes to prepare.*

The theory behind the 5 Factor World Diet is that there are many other countries in the world that boast far better numbers when it comes to obesity when compared to the United States. Pasternak addresses this by using the methods of ten other countries outside of the United States. He uses their methods to help model his program.

Do Dieters Lose Weight On The 5 Factor Diet?

If followed correctly the average person can expect some weight loss at least in the short-term due to smaller meal sizes. They also may notice the loss because of some exercise. Of course a lot of this will depend on whether or not you are adhering to the strict exercise regimen that is to be followed while on the 5 Factor World Diet, which calls for five 25 minute sessions of aerobics, core work, and strength training each week.

Is The 5 Factor Diet Easy To Follow?

The 5 Factor World Diet program is laid out nicely.  There are many suggestions for recipes and loads of helpful tips. However, because the idea is to create cuisines from around the world, an increase in shopping can be expected. You may run into ingredients you have never heard of before. This can make shopping more of a chore than it already is.

Additionally, many of the ingredients needed to make some of the international meals might not be readily available at your local grocery store. This will force you to find a specialty store. That can add to your overall cost to do the diet. It will also add to the amount of time you have to dedicate to the diet.

Moreover, the 5 Factor World Diet calls for five meals each day. So, for those who are not used to eating so frequently it might be a bit hard to squeeze in each meal. Meals cannot be missed either.

The 5 Factor World Diet seems like it has all the right ingredients to be a successful diet. However, being on such a diet should be done with lower expectations. You can’t look at what the celebrities are achieving and conceivably think that a $25 book that shows you international cuisine is their secret. They hire personal trainers, and chefs. If you undertake the 5 Factor World Diet as is and think you will look like a movie star when you are done, you will likely be disappointed in the end. All jokes aside, this is not the most effective diet to date.
