Active 8 is a company that makes its own supplements and other nutritional products and they have recently come out with a diet revolving around these products called the Active 8 Better Health Better Life Diet. The diet uses the products sold by Active 8 in a specific combination in conjunction with encouraging exercise in order to help people achieve their weight loss goals.
The Active 8 Better Health Better Life Diet is primarily based on taking three specific supplements each day as well as substituting the bulk of your meals with Active 8 shakes. According to Active 8, the three special supplements are scientifically designed to block the conversion of sugars into fats, increase the metabolic rate of your body, and help your body suppress its appetite.
Along with the shakes and supplements, the Active 8 Better Health Better Life Diet consists of plenty of exercise. In fact, the weekly recommended exercise dosage is at least 180 minutes of combined walking, running, swimming, or biking. The Active 8 Better Health Better Life Diet also encourages participants to start a support group in their local area with others who might also be on the diet program.
Do Dieters Lose Weight on the Active 8 Diet?
The Active 8 Better Health Better Life Diet does make it possible to lose weight, but not likely because of the supplements. The diet calls for an Active 8 shake to be consumed for breakfast, lunch, and dinner and though it does allow for some other foods, the main bulk of your daily calories will come from the shakes. Daily calories will naturally be reduced to a large degree and that alone should allow for at least some weight loss. If you choose to follow the exercise advice then your weight loss results would likely be higher.
Is the Active 8 Diet Easy to Follow?
The Active 8 Better Health Better Life Diet is not an easy diet to follow. Getting most of your daily calories from meal replacement shakes can leave you feeling hungry and the lack of any real diet plan and/or recipe guide makes knowing what else to eat rather difficult. In addition, you have to remember to take your three supplements on a daily basis which is not going to appeal to someone who is constantly on the go.
The Active 8 Better Health Better Life Diet almost sounds like the Slim Fast Diet except you also have to take supplements and it costs a lot more. In fact, the cost of the Active 8 Better Health Better Life Diet is $159.95 per month. This covers your shakes and supplements, but keep in mind this is a monthly charge. The claims of the supplements almost being a “magic bullet” for weight loss are also highly suspect as is the Active 8 Better Health Better Life Diet as a whole.
