What is BodyByBoyle?

BodyByBoyle is the training service offered by Mike Boyle and his team. Based in Massachusetts Mike also uses the MBSC logo and trading name which stands for Mike Boyle Strength and Conditioning.

MBSC say they offer the most comprehensive performance enhancement training, reconditioning and personal training in the nation.

The team has a results-driven approach to help you achieve your goals, whether they involve weight loss, athletic performance, or a healthier lifestyle. The team can help a novice kickstart a weight loss program or help an injured athlete back to peak performance.

MBSC boasts a large team of expertly trained staff with a wealth of knowledge. Injuries can be managed and treated by the In-House Physical Therapist and 5 Massage Therapists. With motivation from MBSC, you could very well exceed your goals!

What Does It Offer

There are a number of programs including group programs aimed at athletes and the elite. That can be a little off-putting assuming you are just wanting to get fit and lose weight. However, the MBSC team work with lots of people including real people, not just elite athletes.

If you’re wanting to get fit, lose weight, and tone up this is an excellent option. To discuss booking a session you can call Massachusetts 781-938-1330. You can also take a look at the different personal trainers with differing specialties and email them.

Addressing the fact that Mike is, well, just Mike in Massachusetts he attempts to reach out with an online product. That’s the MBSC Adult Fat-Loss Online Membership. It’s described as:

“An exclusive group for MBSC online clients.” You basically receive access to videos, there’s a discussion board with the MBSC team and you can log your exercise on Exercise.com.

There is a new phase each month and has nutritional advice as well as access to top coaches. It’s priced at $39 per month.

Science (Or Lack Of) and How Does BodyByBoyle Work

This is certainly a very “exercise” rather than “diet” approach. And of course, it works in losing weight. Exercising in the safe hands of a professional is always a great idea. It’s well known that exercise has numerous benefits. Physical activity can have immediate and long-term health benefits. Exercise reduces the risk of developing several diseases such as cancer, type 2 diabetes, and cardiovascular disease. It also helps us fight aging and helps to strengthen bones and keep joints flexible.

There aren’t reviews all over the internet for BodybyBoyle. But BodybyBoyle is unique in the fact that the numerous testimonials on their site are highly believable as real people. They also highlight the spectrum of clients proving that exercise is for virtually everyone. It appears that the highly trained staff really do understand the needs of the individual.

Kristen Ward, a satisfied client writes:

Self-confidence, passion, joy, strength. This is what I get from my personal training sessions at Mike Boyle’s. I would come every day if I could. The physical results are obvious…. long, lean sculpted muscle that replaces fat. The entire experience is achieved in an encouraging, un-intimidating and professional atmosphere that is so much fun!Kristen Ward

So, seems like the effort is worth it! If your goal is weight loss then discuss this with your trainer. It’s best to team your exercise regime with a diet of around 1500 calories to lose weight but this can vary. Use a basal metabolic rate calculator to find out how much energy you will be using with your exercise program. Then adjust your calorie intake accordingly.

Bottom Line

It’s really a case of whether this is realistic for you geographically. If you are in the Massachusetts area it’s a case of whether it’s your bag. Maybe give it a go and you’ll find it is your bag.

It’s certainly a method of losing weight that takes quite some effort if you’re not currently exercising. It’s not as easy as popping a pill. But the thing about exercising is it feels great when you’re done and it works! It’s an awesome way to shift pounds.

And if you don’t need to lose weight, exercising is a great way to maintain your weight. It also allows you to indulge in treats and eat more without gaining weight.

It might be that the idea of having a personal trainer is a slice of heaven for you. Someone to take you through your paces and motivate you when you have none. However, obviously, a personal trainer doesn’t come cheaply. You’re paying for a full hour of a highly trained individual’s time. But what if a personal trainer was a quarter of the price?

At BodyByBoyle they have a cool option of booking semi-private training. So, you could get a personal trainer for yourself and three friends. What could be more motivating and fun than working out with your buddies and laughing your way through a workout? In fact, lots of personal trainers nationwide are happy to offer this option.

In terms of the online service, I’m just not really getting it. I appreciate that everyone wants to get into the online sales sector. But I think if you have chosen your profession to be personal training – then you just have to accept that it just doesn’t lend itself well to being sold online. Other than for booking actual physical appointments. For personal training – in person!

It might be worth it for a month to get videos from an exercise professional and a program to work through. But past that I’m not really seeing any value at all for a new “phase” of an exercise program each month. It certainly isn’t a personal trainer.

But if you are in the Massachusetts area then why not grab your sister, mum, husband or some buddies and head to BodyByBoyle. You’re sure to meet a friendly professional team that will work with you to achieve your fitness and weight loss goals.
