Lisa and Randy Roney founded Calotren in 1997 and the overall company name is called Top of the World Distributors and they are out of Tennessee. They market their weight loss pill as “An Advanced Weight Loss Formula.” The Calotren weight loss pill was made to aid in supporting the body’s lean muscle with its natural protein formula. For one bottle of Calotren, you will spend $70.00 plus shipping and handling. This is not a cheap option for a pill that has no scientific evidence to why it can help you lose weight.* There are 120 capsules per bottle, and the suggested use is to take four (4) Calotren Capsules at bedtime on an empty stomach (at least 3 hours after your last meal) with 8oz of water.
Their support line was rather quick when I called in, and I was not routed all over the place (like I am used to). There is a 45 day money back guarantee, and the representative told me that in those 45 days I will not see much weight come off, because my muscle will be repairing itself.* This had me worried, as one bottle of this stuff can run $82.00 dollars after shipping with no results in over a month? When asking about diet restrictions, there are no real diet restrictions that come with the product, so you are essentially putting all of your hope and trust in a pill.
Do Dieters Lose Weight on Calotren?
They claim, “Calotren Advanced is a natural weight loss formula created to help your body burn fats and sugars more efficiently. This effective supplement combines Collagen Protein with our exclusive digestive enzyme formula to maximize your benefits. By pre-digesting the protein, Calotren Advanced helps your body absorb the protein up to 3 times faster, break it down easier and achieve the goals you’ve always wanted!”*
After looking at multiple reviews from outside sources, it got a large number of poor ratings in comparison to the good ratings. See some examples below:
“If you are at all sensitive to taking pills, don’t do this! I followed the instructions, waited the 3 hours after eating before taking it, and then barely slept all night. It says “no stimulants” but something kept me awake and feeling sick all night.” Anjee
“Well it don’t work for my wife, and she not very happy about this product i think she gain weight instead of losing.” Stacy Davenport
“I tried calotren for a month and received no results. I worked out, cut back food in-take and didn’t eat after 7pm every night. I didn’t feel any different health wise either. I would not recommend this product.” Courtney
When looking on the actual website, there was no links or hints toward any clinical or scientific research behind this pill. The supplement is made to absorb proteins, but it is not proven to burn off any fat. The actual ingredients are: water, collagen hydrolysate, aloe vera, vegetable glycerin, natural and artificial flavor, potassium sorbate, citric acid and sodium benzoate.
There were a lot of negative reviews for this reason alone, and there is no real diet restrictions causing the bottle of pills to almost be irrelevant to any weight loss. To make matters more interesting, they offer an affiliate program, as well as a referral program so many reviews out there are skewed to benefit the person who is earning the commission.*
Is Calotren Easy To Follow?
Overall, because of how simple it is to follow it has me already feeling skeptical about the product as a whole. As mentioned above the suggested use is to take four (4) Calotren Capsules at bedtime on an empty stomach (at least 3 hours after your last meal) with 8oz of water. This is the basis of the entire program, and exercise or healthy eating is nowhere to be found. They recommend you stay taking the pills four times a day for three months to see actual results. This is a very expensive experiment with little to no proven research that it works. Consuming a pill is simple, but in the long run it will not give you the optimal results you desire without adding in a well-rounded routine of proper diet and exercise to the mix.* Some probable side effects from the Calotren supplement include cramps, diarrhea, stomach discomfort, gas, and nausea.
When taking a look into their support system (aka Social Media) it was literally a ghost town. With a tiny amount of followers, and little to no activity this had me wondering if the products are really that popular, and do their job like they say they are going to do. The website is also poorly put together, which does not make it appealing to the customer to buy from. There are cosmetic errors all over the website, that professional businesses wouldn’t let slide.
Sadly, it’s just another pill that promotes weight loss with no other strings attached. We have seen this time, and time again with little to no results from the customers. Sure, there are some positives reviews out there but there are more negative customer reviews at the end of the day. The product can be purchased on multiple different sites like Amazon and the home site for Calotren, but I would save your money on this unproven product. If you are looking for results for a lifetime, I would not turn to Calotren to invest your hard earned money.
