Eat Stop Eat: 24 Hour Fast is an eBook that was developed as part of a program by Brad Pilon. Pilon is a former sports supplement salesman who said he got fed up with so-called research that was supposed to help determine what would help others lose weight. Pilon contends that much of the research is only conducted to help supplement companies selling products.
The idea behind the Eat Stop Eat: 24 Hour Fast program is to eat normally and then fast for 24 hours once a week. When following the method of Pilon this doesn’t mean going an entire day without food. For example, you could eat your last meal of the day at 6 pm and then simply not eat again until 6 pm of the following day. This in turn will get you your 24 hour fast and still allow you to have food on both days.
Pilon says this is how our ancestors ate. They would eat large meals and their bodies would then store fat for when it was needed. By fasting just once a week, Pilon says the Eat Stop Eat: 24 Hour Fast program is just as effective as a calorie cutting diet. Regular exercise is also encouraged and exercise suggestions and routines can be purchased separately or as part of a package.
Do Dieters Lose Weight on the Eat Stop Eat Diet?
Weight loss can vary to a large degree according to what the participant eats. While overeating and eating unhealthy foods is discouraged, there is no meal plan that comes with the Eat Stop Eat: 24 Hour Fast program. Therefore, those who wish to lose weight on the program will have to be extremely vigilant of what they consume on a daily basis.
Is the Eat Stop Eat Diet Easy to Follow?
The Eat Stop Eat: 24 Hour Fast program is easy enough to follow as there is nothing that is off-limits. However, anytime you are fasting you are starving your body so great care needs to be taken when doing so.
On the surface the Eat Stop Eat: 24 Hour Fast seems like the perfect diet. However, it should be noted that weight loss won’t occur unless you eat all the right foods and exercise. But, this is true with almost any diet program. As long as your calories are reduced and your level of activity is up then you can expect to lose weight. This can be done without spending $39.95 for the eBook or up to $77 for a package that includes exercise suggestions and routines.
