Flat Tummy Tea Review

Flat Tummy Tea is a company that offers a variety of weight loss drinks such as teas, shakes, and even lollipops. In. this review I am going to focus on the herbal tea blend and give you the full scoop on the product. The company is based in Perth, Australia but they also have a distribution and manufacturing center in New York to better access the United States. The company markets directly to females, using words like ‘babe’ to try and be personable with the customer. The product is marketed to obviously flatten your mid section but it also is supposed to help with speeding up your metabolism, improving your digestion, and giving your energy levels a large boost.

How Does Flat Tummy Tea Work?

So let’s take a deeper look into the actual product, and how it works! The company has products that are divided up into programs. You can choose from either the 2 week program, or the 4 week program. There is also a subscribe and save option which will give you more of a discount with product arriving more frequently.

On the website, they claim the tea will help you to reduce bloating, support your metabolism, maintain a healthy immune system, and boost your energy. It is also supposed to cleanse your digestive system and decrease your water retention. Shipping is free unless you choose priority ($9.95) or live outside of the United States ($14.95).

When buying the tea there is a morning and evening tea, so be sure not to mix the two up! The morning tea is supposed to be enjoyed with your breakfast by simply mixing 8 oz. of hot water per serving. The evening tea is only meant to be consumed every second night of your cleanse for the first week, and then every third night for either the second week or 2-4 depending on which package you purchased. Cost: 2 week- $36.00 4 week- $49.00. If you subscribe and save you will spend $45.00.

The Bottom Line: The company offers both an AM and PM tea for around $36,00-$46.00 dollars. There are two packages offered, a two and four week.

Is Flat Tummy Tea Safe?

Let’s take a look at the ingredients to determine if this product is safe. I will note that if you are pregnant or breastfeeding this product will not be a good option. It is always recommended that you check with your doctor before you take a product like Flat Tummy Tea if you have any reservations.

“AM Activate Tea – Peppermint (leaf), Lemon Balm (leaf), Liquorice (root), Dandelion (leaf and root), Cleavers (leaf), Fennel (seed), Green Tea (leaf), Caraway (seed), Cardamom (pods).

PM Cleanse Tea – Senna (leaf), Peppermint (leaf), Cassia Chamaecrista (pods), Liquorice (root), Caraway (seed), Dandelion (root), Rhubarb (root).”

The peppermint is known to help cleanse your digestive track, and the Senna leaf is a natural laxative. Sometimes Senna leaf can upset your stomach and cause frequent trips to the bathroom so use the Cleanse tea as directed! Senna is the only near controversial ingredient and this is only because it has been known to cause cramping and abdominal pain.

The Bottom Line: The ingredients are given on the website, and Senna leaf is the only controversial ingredient.

Pros and Cons

There are not too many negatives regarding this tea minus the high cost for such a cheap item. For over $30 you will only get 2 weeks of tea. If anything, buying a laxative may do just as good as this tea will for a fraction of the cost. However, if you emjoy sipping tea this might not be a bad option either. It just depends on what you are looking for. The cost is a con, as well as senna leaf as an ingredient due to the possible side effects that will come along side of it.

Pros will be a flushed out system, and the joy of sipping a warm tea you will enjoy. Will the product speed your metabolism? Maybe shortly, but not in the long run. Will it give you energy? If caffeine gives you energy then this product will too, otherwise no it will not.

The Bottom Line: Overall the pros and cons are parallel. It largely depends on the person’s lifestyle and their needs when looking at weight loss

Conclusion

Overall, not a terrible product but it is marketed at women only. This cuts their customer base literally in half. The programs are short, so they are not marketing long term weight loss results, if anything they are just selling a fancy way to take a laxative effect tea. While there is nothing dangerous about this product, be aware of the side effects that come along with senna leaf. Lastly, it is always good to check with your doctor if you are unsure about any of the ingredients interfering with any medication you might be potentially taking.
