MILF Diet Review

Macrobiotic chef, cooking instructor, and author Jessica Porter is back with her latest diet book installment, the MILF Diet. While MILF is an acronym for something of a slang sexual nature, Porter means for the term to be one of empowerment for the diet.

The idea behind the diet is to get all-natural and consume foods that are of a macrobiotic theme which focuses on unprocessed, plant-based foods that are freshly prepared. Some examples of foods that the MILF Diet promotes would be whole grains, organic vegetables, and sea vegetables. All sweeteners are natural and proteins in the MILF Diet are proteins that are derived strictly from plants.

The MILF Diet consists of three “MILFication” phases. Phase one introduces whole grains via brown rice. Participants are expected to learn to chew properly, 50 to 100 times per bite, and will also learn about the ying-yang qualities that many macrobiotic foods possess. The second phase introduces some more whole foods with leafy vegetables promoted heavily. Phase three brings participants fully into the MILF Diet and gives a more balanced approach consisting of 30% whole grains, 20% beans/bean product, and 50% vegetables.

Do Dieters Lose Weight on the MILF Diet?

If followed properly, there is almost no chance of not losing weight on the MILF Diet. However, the MILF Diet is one that cuts out all meat proteins so anyone who is used to consuming even moderate amounts of meats, such as steak, chicken, fish, and the like, may find many unwanted urges cropping up. If these urges are given into then the prospect of long-term weight loss success would greatly diminish.

Is the MILF Diet Easy to Follow?

The MILF Diet is a very restrictive diet. Really, it represents an entire shift in personal living. Most people who are looking to lose weight are not only consuming too many calories, but they are also getting those calories from a variety of meat based proteins and possibly some fruits and vegetables. Now, these same people will not only have to deal with a large daily calorie reduction, but will also suddenly not be allowed to have many of their favorite foods from various food groups. This will almost always lead to the dreaded cheating, which only spells disaster on the MILF Diet.

Conclusion

The MILF Diet book retails for around $35. However, some specialty foods will also need to be purchased as a macrobiotic diet is one that calls for some obscure foods to say the least. This might not cost you a lot dollar wise, but it could cost you a lot in personal time as you try to track down what you need in order to do the MILF Diet the right way.

But, the most important factor to consider with the MILF Diet is safety. While it is possible to live off of only vegetables and vegetable based proteins, it may not be the safest way in which to go about losing weight. The human body was designed to be an omnivorous eating machine, and more and more studies are coming out showing a more balanced approach to diet is the way to go when attempting to lose weight, and is a safer way. In the end, the MILF Diet might be one that is simply too hard to properly execute and it may not be as beneficial as a more balanced approach would be.
