Rip 60 is a complete 60-day workout and nutrition program that is sold in several places online, and can also be found at some big box retail stores. The program utilizes rotating straps as the focal point of all the workouts, and says that this type of workout will make a participant have to execute perfect balance.* This in turn will help burn more calories and get the participant “ripped” all within 60 days. This is done with eight workouts and four bonus workouts, some with Jillian Michaels and some with Georges St. Pierre.
All of the Rip 60 workouts are around an hour long, and those doing the program have to work out six days per week with one day of rest. The nutrition guide offers recipes and meal suggestions, and must also be followed in order to gain maximum results.*
Do Dieters Lose Weight On The Rip 60 Diet?
Any dieter who can adhere to the training and nutrition regimen that is laid out with Rip 60 would almost certainly lose weight. However, this weight loss would only be short term.*
Long-term weight loss would be harder to achieve, as many would likely stop the Rip 60 workouts and nutrition plan after the initial 60 days. But, doing so would lead right back into bad health habits and likely mean gaining all the lost weight back, and maybe more.*
Is The Rip 60 Diet Easy To Follow?
Rip 60 offers various levels of intensity with each workout; however, even the lowest intensity level is still pretty intense. Those who are not used to working out on a regular basis will struggle greatly trying to adapt to such a demanding workout routine of six days per week.
In addition, the nutrition plan is not going to be the easiest to follow. It is calorie restrictive by nature, which means many foods and food group favorites are eliminated, making cravings a probable daily occurrence.*
Rip 60 is an interesting program that seems to offer a lot. The program can cost up to $120 depending on where you look, but the costs don’t stop there. In order to do the program at full force, ceiling clips also need to be purchased for the rotating straps at $35, and a kettlebell weight also needs to be purchased, which can cost around $99.
However, the bigger concern is the program itself. While it offers a great way to lose weight for the first 60 days, there is no mention of what to do once the program is over. So, unless you want to continuously repeat the program, which can get mundane, you might be better off with a program that offers more long-term solutions.
