The Skinny Coffee Club is a weight loss drink in the form of coffee! For many people who love coffee this might be music to your ears, but how effective is this product when it is all said and done? The company is based out of the UK. Currently it has ships to over 145 countries worldwide, and also found on Amazon. As marketed, this coffee drink is meant to reduce cravings and control hunger. Also said to create a slimming effect on the body in just one week’s time. [1] The only means to contacting customer service is through an e-mail address (hello@skinnycoffeeclub.com) which makes communication about any issues rather hard.

How Does The Skinny Coffee Club Work?

First, I was curious about the variety of products this company offers to the customer. They offer decaf blends, mocha blends, and their original weight loss coffee blend. The coffee is sold in a program setting. For example, you have the option to purchase an intensive 7 day weight loss program that gives you everything you will need for 7 solid days.

They claim the coffee will help you lose weight, feel better from just one mug, reduce fatigue, banish cravings, and speed up your metabolism. [2]

The Day and Night Weight Loss Program

39.95 British Pounds

With this program it contains the same time frame as above (28 days, 8 weeks, or 12 weeks) and there is a day and night program. Ground and Instant coffee is also another choice in this program. A workout E-book is included as well.

Original Weight Loss Program

With this program there is only one option, and that is to purchase the 28 day system for 27.95 British Pounds. A workout E-book is included as well.

Intensive 7 Day Weight Loss Program

This program is only 7 days long, and it costs 29.95 British Pounds. This program is targeted just for women looking to drop unwanted weight within a week, so what about the guys? They do not say. There are three different coffees to take throughout the day: Morning- Rise and Grind, Lunch: Suppresso Shot, and before bedtime: Sleeping Brew-ty which is of course decaf. It also comes with a workout guide and calendar.

To wrap up, there is a night only edition which is named the “Night Edition” and it is strictly decaf coffee and it costs 24.95 British Pounds. There is also a Chocolate Mocha Weight Loss Program for 24.95 which comes in the 4,8, or 12 week program and this flavor also comes in the day and night program for 39.95 British Pounds.

The Bottom Line
There are a variety of programs and products to try out. With this specific product, you will be drinking coffee and there is no real workout regiment that is pushed on the customer for additional weight loss. The programs range from 4-12 weeks and they cost anywhere from 24 to 64 British Pounds depending on the time frame you purchase.

Is The Skinny Coffee Club Safe?

When looking at their bundles and programs, it seems as if they have thought of quite literally everything! The company does not directly show information about ingredients on the product page.  A trend within the blends are garcinia cambogia which is an appetite suppressor that doesn’t always sit well with people. Alongside of that ingredient, there are also large amounts of caffeine present (not in the decaf) which can also have an effect on the body. Always check with your doctor before taking GC, or larger amounts of caffeine.

Original “includes the following ingredients: Ground Coffee, Ground Green Coffee Bean Extract, Green Tea Extract Powder, Garcinia Cambogia, Siberian Ginseng Powder and Spirulina Powder.”

“Skinny Coffee Night Edition includes the following ingredients: Decaffeinated Ground Coffee, Fennel, Spirulina and Chlorella.”

Mocha “includes the following ingredients: Instant coffee, sugar, sweet whey powder (milk), fat-reduced cocoa powder 14.5%, garcinia cambogia, green tea extract, siberian ginseng, skimmed-milk powder, salt, thickener (E 466), anti-caking agent (E 551), flavouring.”

Rise & Grind Ingredients: Bulking Agent (Maltodextrin), Instant Coffee, Glucomannan (Konjac mannan), Caffeine † , Ascorbic Acid, Zinc Citrate, Nicotinamide. Contains caffeine (89mg per serving). Not recommended for children or pregnant women.”

Suppresso Ingredients: Bulking Agent (Maltodextrin), Instant Coffee † , Glucomannan (Konjac mannan), Ascorbic Acid, Calcium D-pantothenate, Zinc Citrate, Nicotinamide. † Contains caffeine (40mg per serving). Not recommended for children or pregnant women.”

Sleeping Brew-ty Ingredients: Ingredients: Bulking Agent (Maltodextrin), Instant Decaffeinated Coffee, Glucomannan (Konjac mannan), Choline Bitartrate, Ascorbic Acid, Zinc Citrate, Nicotinamide.” [3]

The Bottom Line
This product is clearly not for everyone, and it targets women who are not pregnant. Overall there are no controversial ingredients per say, but Garcinia Cambogia is a weight loss agent that has side effects such as headaches, nausea, diarrhea, and upset stomach. [4]

Pros and Cons of Skinny Coffee Club

When looking at the price point of this coffee and the ingredients, it seems a little expensive. There are a large variety of garcinia cambogia pills for really cheap on the market today. Then you can drink your normal coffee for almost the same effect. I am not saying to literally try this, due to health risks but it gives you an idea of the company’s markups to make money. Overall, this is a major con that will overshadow a lot of the pros. On the flip side, one pro might be the marketing tactic and the convenience of drinking a weight loss product, as it is doable for even those with the busiest of schedules.

The Bottom Line
There are more cons than pros with this expensive coffee blend, and not a lot of results have been tied to actual weight loss success stories.

Conclusion

What a great idea initially. Will it forever change your weight loss and your waist line? Probably not. This product is loaded with caffeine and appetite suppressors. This will not set you up for healthy weight loss long term. It may take the edge off (with a few minor side effects), but it will not dramatically change your life. On that note, it is also very expensive for the ingredients you are actually getting, which is another major turn off. All in all, this is a great idea but it might be too  expensive and not effective enough to actually make it worth it!
