The Quantum Wellness Diet Review

The Quantum Wellness Diet: 21-Day Detox, was developed by New York Times best-selling author Kathy Freston. Freston is known for appearing on the Oprah Show and actually had Oprah do the 21-day diet program.

According to Freston, true wellness is hard to achieve, so rather than take a quantum leap, she suggests taking smaller steps while learning how to change lifestyle habits for the better. This all starts with a 21-day detox that she says should be repeated twice per year. During the 21 days, all meats are cut out, as is caffeine, sugar, alcohol, and gluten.

Starting with a wellness checklist, the Quantum Wellness Diet goes through things such as meditation, exercise, and proper eating to mold habits that promote proper health. The overall goal with the Quantum Wellness Diet is to shift dieters to a vegan diet and help dieters maintain a lifestyle that allows them to keep their weight where they want it to be for the long term.

Do Dieters Lose Weight On The Quantum Wellness Diet?

The Quantum Wellness Diet cuts out many foods and food groups. This means that the daily caloric intake of the dieter will be greatly reduced; therefore, some weight loss can be expected, at least in the short term.

Long-term weight loss will depend on the dieter’s ability to start, and stick to, a vegan diet, which is recommended with the Quantum Wellness Diet. Weight loss can also be helped along if dieters do the recommended exercise for 30 minutes three times per week.*

Is The Quantum Wellness Diet Easy To Follow?

The Quantum Wellness Diet is an ultra-restrictive diet; therefore, it will likely be one of the hardest diets to undertake. The list of foods and food groups that are not allowed are vast, and include comforts such as caffeine and alcohol, which can be tough to give up on a whim.

In addition, the overall goal of the Quantum Wellness Diet is to get dieters to eat a vegan diet. That means absolutely no meat whatsoever. While this may be better for the abused animals, as the Quantum Wellness Diet states, it is not an easy thing to do. Cravings will become the norm and giving into such cravings can mean disaster for weight loss results.


The Quantum Wellness Diet book sells for around $23.95, and while it is filled with many helpful hints, it is not an easy diet on which to be. The human body was simply not made to avoid meat 100 percent of the time. While the 21-day detox with the Quantum Wellness Diet may in fact promote weight loss, it would be weight loss that might not be so safe.*

Add to the fact that the Quantum Wellness Diet recommends three days of exercise each week. The problem being that with such a diminished diet, you may find it hard to have the energy to work out at all. Putting it all together, the Quantum Wellness Diet is one that is probably not for the majority of dieters looking to lose weight effectively and safely.*
